The sets are up, the house lights are dimmed, and the play is ready to begin.



[Actual production will be SP'd here. There will be an audience post tomorrow night, so the audience can react to what's going on onstage then. Have fun, go nuts, guys. Chat room is: MSND, but I have school and won't be on until tonight or so. Outline. Please use the scripts you were emailed. Important: DO NOT SKIP AHEAD IN THE PRODUCTION. THERE ARE EVENTS PLANNED OKAY I LIED. Please just post Acts I-III for right now, as there is something planned to happen at the end of Act III. Please just check in on this post to check for a cue.]

Dream stepped out of the shadows.

"I am," he said.

Then, wryly, "I suppose you wish an explanation."

"Um, yeah," Rory said, a bit panicked. "Are there fairies in my friends? Why? How? When are they getting out? What can we do?"

Dream stepped closer to Rory. "The fae have tricks. Magics. The play was written as ... a sort of fairwell note to them, as they took their leave of Earth. Therefore, to it they are tied, and they have used this bond to invade the actors."

He rubbed his forehead momentarily before continuing.

"I should have known this might happen, given the unusual nature of this island."

"They have promised not to harm the players, and to take their leaves as the curtain falls. I can do no better."

Rory covered her face with one hand. "Okay. Titania's in Parker, Puck's in Zero, that must mean Oberon is in Lee...and what about Cal? Helena isn't a fairy. Is that just some random member of their court?"

"As best I can tell, they are all fae, yes," Dream said. "It has been some time since I had much truck with them. You will forgive me if I do not remember names, or court positions."

He nodded at Zero. "Puck is the worst of them, and Miss Hopeless-Savage is almost as strong. And Miss Parker might be Titania's mortal sister. For the others, it should be an annoyance, no more."

"Okay. Okay." Rory breathed a little. "This should be...interesting. We can't call off the play, can we? They won't allow it, will they?"

Dream shook his head in a kind of calm defeat. "More than that, fairy gifts always come with consequences. Should we attempt to call off the play, the consequences would worsen, and I shudder to think what might be then. It is better to allow them to have this revel."

"Okay," Rory said for the umpteenth time. "No one's getting hurt. This is fine." She ran a hand through her hair. "Okay. Thanks, sir."
