The fairy's mind wandered during Helena's speech, and Nadia found herself momentarily back into control. She practically shouted her next line, pouring on as much care and confusion as she ever did in rehearsal, hoping the baby fairy in her head remained bored.

"I am amazed at your passionate words.
I scorn you not: it seems that you scorn me."

Callisto grinned and bopped Nadia on the nose.

"Ay, do, persever, counterfeit sad looks,
Make mouths upon me when I turn my back;"
Wink each at other; hold the sweet jest up:"

She started laughing and ruffled Blair's hair.

"This sport, well carried, shall be chronicled.
If you have any pity, grace, or manners,
You would not make me such an argument."

Callisto wandered over to Logan and draped an arm over him, still laughing.

"But fare ye well: 'tis partly my own fault;
Which death or absence soon shall remedy."

She leant in to kiss his cheek.

Blair pouted at Callisto kissing Logan and stomped over, trying to put himself between them. "Hey there! Uh...I mean, Stay gentle Helena; hear my excuse: My love, my life, my...soul, fair Helena!"

A heavy blush crept across Logan's face and he stared at the floor, unable to hide the goofy smile Callisto's kiss produced.

"O excellent!" Callisto giggled, nuzzling Logan's ear.

The fairy in her head got all bubbly at the nose tap, then distracted again as the lines continued.

When Callisto and Nadia started trading barbs, the fairy started giggling in her head and offering alternatives.

Doody-head featured prominently.

But she had promised to make sure the lines were said right, so when the time came, she jumped into her own little speech.

With only the occasional alterations.

"Muppet? why so? ay, that way goes the game.
Now I perceive that she haff made compare
Between our statures; she haff urged her height;
And wiff her personage, her tall personage,
Her height, forsooff, she hath prevail'd with him.
And are you grown so high in his esteem;
Because I am so dwarfish and so low?
How low am I, thou painted tadpole? speak;
How low am I? I am not yet so low
But that my nails can reach unto thine eyes!"

She added little kitty claws on the end of this, scratching her hands in the air.

Callisto yawned and put her hand on top of Nadia's head, keeping her at arm's length.

"I pray you, though you mock me, gentlemen,
Let her not hurt me: I was never curst;
I have no gift at all in shrewishness;
I am a right maid for my cowardice:
Let her not strike me. You perhaps may think,
Because she is something lower than myself,
That I can match her."

Nadia was practically vibrating in her attempt to bounce while Callisto's hand was on her head. She was grinning as she kept swiping her kitty claws at Callisto.

"Lower! hark, again!"

This part of the play was fun!

They fought some more, then Helena fled. Nadia paused in her bouncing to pout dramatically.

"I am amazed and know not what to say!"

And off she skipped.

Blair shook his head at Nadia's antics and followed her offstage.

Oberon gives a dramatic facepalm followed by a furious growl followed by grabbing Puck rather forcefully and lifting him (her?) one foot up in the air (the arms helped, of course). "This is thy negligence: still thou mistakest, or else committ'st thy knaveries willfully," he roared without mercy.

Zero started fighting dirty, and Puck barely managed to stop a kick aimed for his lord's groin. "NO! You can't kick the king! Watch me, I'll--" He aimed another jab at her mind, and quickly, while she was dazed, rattled off in what might well have been actual terror, "Believe me, king of shadows, I mistook. Did not you tell me I should know the man by the Athenian garment he had on? And so far blameless proves my enterprise, That I have 'nointed an Athenian's eyes; and so far am I glad it so did sort as this their jangling I esteem a sport." Oberon was scary when he was mad.

Oberon set Puck down, and they went through their next bit quickly, until--

"Up and down, up and down, I will lead them up and down: I am fear'd in field and--"

Suddenly, the entire theatre went dark. No lights, no sound. From the back of the theatre, in the tech booth, come the extremely loud sounds of swearing.

Anyone watching the scene would see some small flames as Sam walked quickly out of the booth, looking for a fire extinguisher, but hoping not to alarm anyone.

In the darkness, Puck finished in a much less enthusiastic voice than he'd had for the previous lines, "...town: goblin, lead them up and down. Here comes one. I assume."

Oberon swore in Saxon. "We will find the party responsible and punish them," he hissed. "Come, gentle Puck," he ad libbed while grabbing Puck's arm. "Let us depart."

Blair stumbled out on the darkened stage, cursing a little as he bumped into props. There was a shuffle, click and a little flame appeared in the darkness. He held the lighter up close to his face and started speaking.

"He goes before me and still dares...ouch!" Stumbling on the stage he growled. "Aw hell. I'm going to sleep. When it's light again, I'll find that Demetrius and kill the bastard."

He sprawled on the stage and blew out the flame, plunging the stage into darkness again.
