So, the heat meant that many of the tables and chairs had been set up in the shade, and someone had found outdoor table umbrellas in blue and gold, god help us all. But hey, a little heat never hurt anyone who wasn't a vampire, right?

Ahem. The picnic was open for warm, sunny business.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Lucille cursed herself for having mentioned Cassandra, and decided to change the topic. "Have you showed the newcomers your AirTreks? I'm sure some of them will be quite interested."

It would also mean that Ringo would have to go somewhere else.

"Hmm. Maybe you're right." Ringo looked thoughtful. And distracted. Maybe a good chance for Lucille to slip away if she thought Ringo might not be distracted enough to actually leave.

Lucille did. She quickly rose from her chair, excusing herself with: "I need another drink," and headed for another umbrella, as far away as possible from Ringo.

Ringo looked up, startled, but the other girl was too far away to call back before she realized what was going on. "Oh. Um, okay." She lifted her arm to wave after Lucille and yelled "Hope you enjoy the rest of the picnic!"
