Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

So, the heat meant that many of the tables and chairs had been set up in the shade, and someone had found outdoor table umbrellas in blue and gold, god help us all. But hey, a little heat never hurt anyone who wasn't a vampire, right?

Ahem. The picnic was open for warm, sunny business.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Well, Velcro and I are glad you are back," Hanna said loyally. "I can't blame J.Lo for missing you.... what does he do when you're not there, though?"

Hanna snickered and bit into another chip, licking cheese off her fingers. "Another flying car?"

"Nah. That would require us buying another car. And I think GM tried to patent his design. He just . . . tinkers. He sent me a 'safety belt' full of automatically inflating balloons."

Which, mind you, had meant she got through getting shoved off the dorm roof intact, so she couldn't really complain.

Tip smiled ruefully. "He knows what I'm like, probably. We . . . kind of met while trying not to die, so."

Hanna laughed a little, picking up another chip and dipping it. "He should visit, when they have Parents' Day this semester. If they do. I'm not sure how often it's supposed to be."

"Oh, he's already planning to. He keeps reminding me to tell him when it is. It's possibly he's just hanging out at the other end of the causeway, waiting until he'd be officially allowed over."
