BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday morning

After missing a flight due to airport security feeling the need to wand over every single piercing she had, Negasonic was in a bit a mood. Then she saw the glittery banner welcoming all Fandom High students and the portalocity lounge.

Ugh. Glitter.

She dumped her duffel bag on the floor and slumped into a chair. Five seconds later she had her phone out to tweet about what a lousy flight experience she had and how little she was looking forward to going to a new school.

She immediately got a tweet back from Colossus. "Give it a chance."

Ugh. Optimism.

She slunk down in her chair a little farther and hoped the shuttle would get here soon so she could at least be going someplace.

"I move when I want to," Kuzco told him, then pointed to his cartoonishly ridiculous pile of luggage. "Careful of the first few--they have heavy things."

He guessed. The guys who'd lugged them here had been sweating pretty hard.

Eliot just stared at him. Specifically, his crown. Was that -- Peruvian?

Oh lord, this guy either thought he was or potentially really was an ancient Incan emperor. The broody kid was right, maybe they should leave this one behind.

It was a very distinctive crown.

He snapped his fingers. "Chop, chop! Those bags aren't going to move themselves."

"That's too bad," Eliot drawled. "'Cause otherwise they're stayin' where they are."

He'd been volunteered to drive the shuttle. Not play bellhop.

Kuzco made a face. Where were his weirdly painted guards when he actually needed one?

"But I can pay someone to move 'em for me, right?"

"You can definitely try."

Kuzco just chalked it up to her Finally Getting With the Program. "Fantastic. I'll give you a shiny...me on a coin...for it."

Like he knew how much currency was worth. That's why he had Money Guy.

Eliot should maybe be doing something about that. You know, as the responsible adult.

What he was doing was raising his eyebrows and nodding faintly, impressed. That he hadn't seen before. Not the fire thing, I mean, Jono, but turning it on and off was a nice trick.

"MY STUFF!!!!"

Kuzco glared at...Girl With No Hair Who's Name He Hadn't Cared About Until Now. "Put it on the bus first."

"I hate you," Kuzco declared usefully before finding the smallest bag he owned (which was ridiculously small--hooray for cartoon physics) and heaved it onto the bus with far more effort than a purse really required.

"There!" he exclaimed, expecting the sort of praise heaped onto people climbing Everest.

Eliot slow clapped three times. "We're very proud. Now get on the damn bus."

Hardison gave the kid a long look. Then the baggage. Then the kid again. "Don't forget to hoist with your legs not your back," he suggested. "You could hurt yourself that way."

"I am not lifting anything, my good man. I don't lift things."

Very helpful, Kuzco.

"Then I bet the airport's lost an' found's gonna be a real excitin' later on," Hardison drawled. "Hope you got some spare drawers tucked away in a pocket somewhere, too."

It should be noted that he was not getting down to help load baggage.
