BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday morning

After missing a flight due to airport security feeling the need to wand over every single piercing she had, Negasonic was in a bit a mood. Then she saw the glittery banner welcoming all Fandom High students and the portalocity lounge.

Ugh. Glitter.

She dumped her duffel bag on the floor and slumped into a chair. Five seconds later she had her phone out to tweet about what a lousy flight experience she had and how little she was looking forward to going to a new school.

She immediately got a tweet back from Colossus. "Give it a chance."

Ugh. Optimism.

She slunk down in her chair a little farther and hoped the shuttle would get here soon so she could at least be going someplace.

Anyone trying to toss Negasonic out a window was going to get a really big surprise.

"Gee. Too bad," she replied without a trace of sorrow. "The world is a poorer place because your groove is lost."

"Tell me about it," Kuzco said, deciding she was being sincere because most people didn't talk back to him. "Personally, I blame this place not letting me bring my Theme Song Guy."

That earned Kuzco a sullen silence as Negasonic tried to decide if he was batshit crazy or just dumb.

"Theme song guy?"

She immediately regretted asking that as soon as the words came out of her mouth.

Kuzco snapped...and no one appeared. He frowned. "Yeah, Theme Song Guy. He follows me around and sings while I wander around the palace."

"Sorry, your highness. I think you'll have to sing your own songs now."

She was so not feeling sorry for him.
