BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday morning

After missing a flight due to airport security feeling the need to wand over every single piercing she had, Negasonic was in a bit a mood. Then she saw the glittery banner welcoming all Fandom High students and the portalocity lounge.

Ugh. Glitter.

She dumped her duffel bag on the floor and slumped into a chair. Five seconds later she had her phone out to tweet about what a lousy flight experience she had and how little she was looking forward to going to a new school.

She immediately got a tweet back from Colossus. "Give it a chance."

Ugh. Optimism.

She slunk down in her chair a little farther and hoped the shuttle would get here soon so she could at least be going someplace.

Kuzco rolled his eyes. "Toga," he said gesturing. "Royal toga."

In case the giant gold crown wasn't giving it away enough. Hint. Hint.

Yeah, but did he have a living unicorn made out of diamonds that pooped guns?

OH GOD, HE'D KILLED BUTTSTALLION WHEN THE STATION CRASHED. HE WAS A MONSTER.

"Looks like a dress," Rhys replied rather than acknowledge his murderous ways.

"Well, it's not," Kuzco replied. "Good thing we're going to a school because you need some education, my man."

Okay, that was making even less sense than a murder planet.

"What?"

"Schooooooooooool," Kuzco said slowly. "Where peasants go to leaaaaaaaaarn things. I, naturally, had tutors."

"Oh, naturally," Rhys replied, rolling his eyes. Eye. Singular.

She was old and scary beyond all reason, but details!

"So. Blinky. You really didn't know this was a school?"

"I don't even know what planet I'm on right now... Dressy."

God, he was bad at this.

Kuzco rolled his eyes--ooh, both of them!--again. "There's only the one. Genius. This one."

Duh.

Rhys gave him the most condescending look he knew. It was pretty damn condescending after so many years at Hyperion. "Sure there is."

Hey, Kuzco knew condescending! Kuzco lived at the corner of Condescending and Snide.

"No, there's not."

Well, this'll end well.

"Uh. Yeah there is."

"Nope."

"Yeah huh."

They were the most mature ones there.

Clearly.

"Nuh-UH."

The fact that Rhys was an actualfax adult only made this better, really.

"Yeah-HUH."
