Flight and Flying- Monday

Like last week, class was in the Danger Shop, on a Star Destroyer. Unlike last week, this one was boring looked normal. It was all metal and very sterile, and Jaina had been careful to make sure that anyone in a military uniform looked vague enough to not know their affiliation, because she'd been around the block with people from other timelines and figured that was the safest route.

"This is what a Star Destroyer tends to look like when it's not run by a smuggler who likes to show off," she began.

"See?" Anakin said, looking much more comfortable, "so much cleaner!"

Sterile, even.

Jaina smiled wryly and said, "These are military vessels. They can house thousands, hold smaller ships like the TIEs we flew, and have weapons capability and a hyperdrive. They can serve as the command center for a battle, where you can watch what's happening from the bridge."

Anakin smiled slightly. "So today you get to fly rather than gamble. The simulated crew will follow your orders exactly. Make sure they're the right ones."

Ahsoka had actually been on the bridge of the Resolute when they'd run into Separatist forces enough times to actually have a good idea of what to do in this situation.

That didn't make her feel any better about it though.

"Communications officer, open up a channel to the approaching ships," Frank ordered. "People of those other ships! I am Captain Frank Doyle of the SS Whatever This Is. I personally have no interest in war. I have it on good authority that one of these ships can be turned into a pretty spectacular casino and bar. If it would please you, I invite you aboard for gambling and drinking. To be fair, we probably don't have much in the way of gambling. But if my name isn't Franklin D. Doyle, there will be more than enough to drink."

"But know this. If you delay me from enjoying a good drink or twelve," Frank said, taking a sip, "Not counting this one, you will know the full force and fury of the HMS Shippy Thing. So you have three choices. Join us for a good time, leave us alone, or be destroyed. This is non-negotiable. The only thing that IS negotiable is that I am willing to count that last drink as one of the twelve. And this one, too."
