Journalism 101/201 (Wednesday, March 15 - 5th period)

"Happy Ides of March," Rita said grimly. "Good work on your midterms. I'll have your grades done ~~hopefully by Friday?~~ soon. Today, we are simply going to watch a film."

After a few minutes of utter confusion, she managed to get the DVD working, and grumpily sat behind her desk.

Peter signed in. If he still had his powers, his spider-sense would probably be blaring. But he didn't. So it wasn't.

Quinn signs in.

Rose signs in.

Or just throw things at Rita or pass notes or OMGWHATEVER.

Peter took a seat and watched the movie. Yay movie!

"You," Rita snarled. "Up here. Please. Need to talk to you."

"Um. Okay," Peter said, walking up to the front of the room. This was not a good thing. He could tell, even without powers.

"Have you been helping John Crichton?"

Hmm. Well, he was dead anyway. "I've been a bit of a sounding board, yes. The horse when he was a knight was my idea. Oh, and Lord van Susteren probably wouldn't have happened without me. It's been fun while it lasted."

"Why?"

"Well, if he was so determined to be turned into an animal every day anyway, then he might as well go all out. It's a matter of efficiency, really," Peter explained. "Make sure the punishment is earned."

"So, you think the animal thing is funny, do you?" Rita asked, dangerously calm.

"There's really no good answer I can give to that, is there?" Peter pondered.

Rita simply waved her wand at both Peter and a desk behind him, muttering.

Oh, look! An octopus in a tank. Wonder where that came from. And where did Peter go?

From her seat, Quinn yells "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!"

Squids? Are not cute.

Peter looked around. Eight arms. Water.

Ah. Irony. Just add some Crazy Doctor Glasses and it was just perfect.

He flailed. Octopi flail quite well, it should be noted.

"Careful. You're splashing."

Peter flailed some more. Carefully. Trying to splash in Skeeter's direction.

Rita waved her wand and a lid was on the tank.

Well, he had to admit that this could be worse. This whole swaying gentle in his tank was surprisingly relaxing.

On the other hand, it had to be relaxing. It was either that or the most BORING THING EVER.

Rita resumed igoring him, because this was nice and quiet.

Peter was now bored. So he twiddled his thu... arms. He twiddled his arms. And boy were there a lot of arms to twiddle.

Rita finally looked up. "Are you sorry?" she asked the octopus.

Peter shrugged in an octopus-like way. He couldn't do much else, and it was a very impressive gesture.

Quinn is covering her eyes and never ever eating calamari again.

Rita sighed, and changed him back. As well as the tank.

But not the lid.

Nice hat.

Tank lids are heavy, so Peter reached up with his eight arms to hold it up. Except that he only had two arms. And so the lid crashed to the ground. "Sorry about that," Peter said, referring to the noise.

But if the apology was vague and could be interpreted to mean helping John, oh well.

"Mmm."

Peter took his seat and tried to watch the movie. Quietly.

He would have to murder John some time.

It might be useinated!
