Flight and Flying- Monday
"Yeah, yeah, it was a weird weekend and now it's a holiday and you have to be here," Jaina started when class began. "But you get to fly things, and what's a better way to spend a holiday?"
Her standards for 'better' were possibly different than others. And nothing weird had happened for her so oh well.
"Today we're going to learn about the clawcraft, which is my husband's ship of choice," she continued. "And he is not here to argue with anything I say about it."
"Good," Anakin said, "because some of its quirks are kind of weird. As you can see, it's primarily based off of the TIE, but reworked to address some of the deep flaws in that ship." He smiled at Tali. "As some of you have pointed out. At length."
"And with good reason. The clawcraft is slower than you might want, but it maneuvers really well. Any of the things we threw at you the last two weeks would be much easier in one of these. And if you've got a good pilot in there you can do some pretty impressive stuff." Shhhh she had a crush on Jag's piloting skills.
"He's not that good," Anakin teased, smiling at Jaina, "but yes, this is a fun craft to fly. I prefer it to the TIE, where I can never really get past the 'one mistake and you're floating atoms' thing."
He was too that good. She could argue this later. "Today you're going to go through a scenario against some ships you've never seen before, and you're going to see how many of them you can take out. Good luck."

Design-wise, the clawcraft almost looked like it could be an asari ship, which was fascinating, but now she was going to have to go over the specs in detail to see what had been improved, and whether that matched up to her ideas.
. . . also now she was really curious as to whether Jaina's husband really was that good, and if that debate was actually going to continue after class.
Fly clawcraft!
Re: Fly clawcraft!
She couldn't get out of the sim fast enough.
Re: Fly clawcraft!
Tali maybe needed to be less fascinated with the coralskippers, especially when they were . . . spitting magma at her? At least that first close call was enough to snap her back into her customary focus, which meant that she could spend the rest of her time in the sim appreciating how much better this clawcraft was to maneuver than that TIE monstrosity . . . thing.
