Around The World in Sixteen Challenges, Thursday

It was definitely on the hot and sticky side today as Anakin and Obi-Wan greeted their students on the Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. "Hello," Anakin said, waving a hand. "At least the weather isn't as weird here as it is back at school?"

"And we are reasonably comfortable," Obi-Wan agreed. "Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A city with many faces, some of which you will experience today."

"And if you've been missing the 'eat something weird' challenges, we've fixed that this week," Anakin added.

"Experience some of Rio's cultural riches," Obi-Wan said, attempting to insert some kind of dignity back into the class. "And open your eyes to the lives of others, as well."

Inserting dignity on a day where the island was trying to rip people's clothing off. Good luck with that, Obi-Wan.

"Don't get arrested," Anakin said. "We'll leave you here."

"We will do no such thing," Obi-Wan said immediately.

Don't worry. You won't be asked to build an entire float today. Your first stop is a large building full of crafting materials, and two judges who watch you critically.

Your job, team, is to design a parade float and then build a small mock-up of what it might look like. You won't be allowed to go on until the judges decide your work is acceptable.

The tightly-packed favelas of Rio are, by and large, nowhere near as dangerous as they used to be. But they are still crowded and full of life, and even with a map, navigating them takes time and care.

Make your way down to your next objective, where you'll be given a card directing you to a nearby restaurant.

There were certain kinds of places that a girl like Isabela took to like a duck to water. Moving through streets like theses was as simple as breathing.

...your last mission today is given to you at this fine churrascaria. Each student will be offered a choice between eating their way through several ENORMOUS Caesar salads... or roughly half a cow's worth of steak.

Talk about your hard choices, both these options looked delicious.

In the end she went for the steak, a girl needed some protein after a day like this.

How did you do? Come see. If you can still walk to the beach with all that steak in your belly.

Here was Isabela and she hadn't even relieved anyone of their excess coin.

"You are third today," Obi-Wan said, eyeing her up in case she happened to be harboring any sign of missing wallets. "Congratulations."

They're still arguing about whether or not it's ethical to leave students behind in the middle of Rio.

"We'd only have to do it the once," Anakin argued.

No one should listen to Anakin.

"No," Obi-Wan said very firmly and very loudly.
