"Good morning, everyone. I hope you had a pleasant break." Ms. Sidle has a large water bottle on her desk in place of her coffee mug. Every so often, she scowls at it without noticing.

"Today, we will be talking about the Equilibrium Constant."

"The Equilibrium Constant, Kc, relates to a chemical reaction at equilibrium. It can be calculated if the equilibrium concentration of each reactant and product in a reaction at equilibrium is known. The equilibrium expression below, formed from the general chemical equilibrium, is universally true. The chemical components happen to be gases."

aA(g) + bB(g) = cC(g) + dD(g)

Next to them is a messy note on a piece of printer copier paper.

He was trying to be thoughtful. Sara knew that. And kept repeating it to herself after coming out of the bathroom, going into her office for some mouthwash.

The flowers are very beautiful. Thank you for the crackers. Unfortunately, one or possibly the two conspired to make me see my bagel and banana once again.

I'm cancelling office hours and going home as soon as class is done.

Sara, I'm sorry, I didn't even consider that as a possibility. I guess I still have a lot to learn.

Leave them in your office, I'll take care of them tomorrow. I'll be home by three; I'll be quiet when I come in.
