After gathering up and stepping through the portal, the class would find itself on a large and exceptionally busy bridge, crowded with people, kiosks, vendors, and painters.

"Welcome," said Obi-Wan, "to Charles Bridge, one of Prague's most famous bridges. Your journey will begin here today."

"We're in the Czech Republic--" stop pronouncing the "z", Anakin, "--in Eastern Europe. This will be our last stop in the European continent this semester."

"Though not our last stop on the Eurasian continent," said Obi-Wan, who thought he was funny, yes. "You will begin today's course by engaging in the local practice of... well, painting people on bridges."

There wasn't a good local word for it that he could pronounce.

Too bad Threepio wasn't around to provide translation! "After that, you will pair up for an easy navigational exercise," Anakin said, "before heading out of the city for your final task."

"But we will let that be a surprise," Obi-Wan finished, smiling. (He should probably not be smiling.)

"You love our surprises," Anakin added, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

There were a whole lot more people around then when she'd got in last week. "So I didn't win again?"

"You are, in fact, eighth," Obi-Wan said. "But I believe you made many friends among the Czechs today."

Probably not.

Had anyone ever told Obi-Wan he was kind of a smart-arse?

"It would have helped if your boyfriend could navigate." Yes, Isabela, blame Anakin, that would end well.

Obi-Wan ignored that so strongly, it was palpable.

He extended his hand. "I believe you might have found some lost items?"

"Oh, right," Isabela said, all helpful innocence as she offered up a handful of wallets to Obi-Wan. What? She'd already emptied out the cash, and those credit card things were too much bother. "These were just lying about. Their owners really should have been more careful, anyone could have picked them up."

Obi-Wan flipped open the first wallet, peered briefly inside, and then looked back at her, pointedly raising his eyebrows.

Yeah, that wasn't going to work. "Whatever are you going through that poor person's wallet for?"

She was shocked that an upstanding citizen like him would do that.

"I believe these are generally filled with legal tender," Obi-Wan said mildly. "So please. Return all of the lost items, Isabela."

"I don't know what you're implying. They were exactly like that when I found them." If you were defining 'found' as digging around her hipscarf for them. Which she was.

"I am beginning to lose my patience," Obi-Wan said flatly. "Return the stolen goods."

That would probably have worked better on someone with a working sense of shame. Or guilt over petty larceny.

"I didn't steal anything." She'd taught some careless boors a valuable lesson in manners and where not to keep your wallet. From a certain point of view. Namely hers. She undid her hipscarf and shook it out so he could see she wasn't hiding anything there. "See?"

"Why don't I believe you?" Obi-Wan wondered.

Why indeed.

It was a mystery for the ages.

"Because you've been listening to the Seeker's slander about the Rivaini people?" No, that probably wasn't it.

"I don't even know who the Seeker is," Obi-Wan said, "But I find it very unlikely three separate people would bring their wallets without also bringing credits."

"Three people who were careless enough lose their wallets, were probably careless about their coin too," Isabela reasoned.

"They were not careless," Obi-Wan sighed. "I saw you take them."

Because he was a sneaky, sneaky Jedi.

Laura would mention that Kira was slowing her down, but Laura was a team player. Kinda.

"There has been improvement," she announced. This one had been mildly annoying. Also teaming up? Best way to make it a challenge.

"I'm thrilled we've met your standards," Anakin said.

"There is still room for improvement."

She was trying to be encouraging, of course. Obviously? "But it is interesting as it is. Thank you."

"You're welcome," Anakin said. "And sixth, today."

"I ain't last, yeah?" Because he blamed the wood chopping.

"You are... the penultimate student," Obi-Wan said, after a pause. "So not entirely last."

Blue was exhausted, but here. She had a feeling she'd done pretty well.

"You are the first to make it here," Obi-Wan said, smiling. "Excellent work."
