1. Clotho the Spinner, Lachesis the Measurer, and Atropos the Cutter.
2. Cards on which are printed one of 5 symbols and which are used to determine certain types of extrasensory perception or psychic awareness.
3. Grounding is a method of anchoring your spiritual or mystical self to the Earth to prevent or offset energy drains. Centering is focusing your magical energies to enhance concentration. Sometimes visual aids, like a candle or a rune, can be used.
4. Because you won't be certain of the outcome! Or, even if you think you know what that outcome should be, you are highly unlikely to get it, and much more likely to have it backfire on you.
5. Aside from causing the deaths of nearly a full score of innocent people, it inculcated as well a rampant culture of fear that lasted for some time, even after the trials had ended. Those with uncommon education, or women who had gained decades of herbal lore knowledge and practiced as midwives, were much more frightened of using their skills, which may have resulted in even more illness and death.
6. Dream analysis deals heavily with symbolism. Often things in dreams are not to be taken as they appear, or at face value, but have a deeper underlying meaning and are standing for something else.

1. What were the names of the Moirae? They were also known as the Fates in Greek mythology. Clothos, the spinner; Lachesis, the weaver; and Atropos, who cut the threads.

2. What are Zener cards? Five sets of cards with different symbols that one person holds up and another tries to guess the symbol.

3. Define grounding and centering. Grounding is extending your energy down into the Earth and anchoring yourself there. Centering is focusing your mental processes in your head or on an external object, like a candle.

4. Casting a spell without knowing what you're doing is a bad idea. Explain why. Because it will inevitably go completely, disasterously wrong. Not that I have any personal experience in the area.

5. What, if any, repercussions do you think the Salem Witch Trials had on the area? People were so horrified that it helped end the influence of the Puritan faith on the governing of New England.

6. Dream analysis. Tell me something about it. Dreams shouldn't be interpreted at face value. The images you see or things you experience in dreams can be symbols for something much more meaningful.

1. What were the names of the Moirae?

Clothos, Lachesis and Atropos

2. What are Zener cards?

Five sets of cards used to test telepathy or clairvoyance.

3. Define grounding and centering.

Grounding: extending your energy into the earth and anchoring yourself there.

Centering: focusing mental processes in the center of the head or an object.

4. Casting a spell without knowing what you're doing is a bad idea because it can cause very bad karma, especially if the spell involves emotions.

5. What, if any, repercussions do you think the Salem Witch Trials had on the area?

The land suffered because crops and cattle went untended or uncared for. Commerce came to a halt because many of the accused left town. One positive affect? It helped end the influence of the Puritan faith on the government of New England.

6. Dreams should not be interpreted as they appear. There are often symbols in a dream that have a deeper meaning.

Paige takes the quiz in a totally handwavey fashion cos the mun may or may not be coming down with something and does okay at all questions other than question one, where she puts something about her being the mother of Merlin.

1. Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. And you people thought reading all those Piers Anthony novels behind my textbooks wouldn't pay off eventually.
{scratched out} 2. Cards that are more Zen than thou, OMG.
2. Those cards with the stars and cicles and wavey lines that I suck so impressively at.
3. And you thought reading all those Mercedes Lackey novels behind my textbooks wouldn't-- um. Grounding and centering is that meditatey thing where you mentally tie yourself down to the earth, except not in a dirty way. Except it's earth, so I guess it's inherently kind of dirty. And then you find your center, in your head or chest or wherever you picture it, and that's meant to kind of stabilize you and keep you calm.
4. Could we just call my life exhibit A? Could we just call Fandom Exhibit B?
5. Well, nobody thinks of vacationing there for the great scenery, I'm pretty sure.
6. It... always helps when you can actually remember your dream? Also some dreams are supposed to be full of things that mean something to the individual person, and some are about symbols that everybody in the world shares. I can't decide whether that's supposed to be magicky or telepathicky or maybe both.

Cordelia takes the quiz quietly and totally handwaves because omgdying and gets to work. She does alright, but it's not her best work ever. She is a little unfocused and distracted, except for question 4, where she goes on a long tirade about being used unintentionally by stupid ex-boyfriends.

Krycek took the quiz handwavey because of stupid work and brain no-function-y and did very well on it, though he seemed maybe a bit scornful regarding dream analysis.
