Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
Picnic-ing in January - still not the best idea ever! But there were tables and chairs set up in the sun, and a nice bonfire going, and plenty of warm food for everyone to encourage socializing for as long as possible.
[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2016]
"Not well," Raven said cheerfully. "My foster mom tried to make me take lessons once, because 'a proper society lady should have hobbies', but I scared the teacher away and she stopped trying."
The two weren't entirely connected. Charles made his mom forget Raven had scared the teacher off, and Mrs. Xavier managed to forget the whole idea of piano lessons completely. She also often managed to forget Raven, so it wasn't surprising.

"I assume you have other pastimes, then," she said. "I will look for the library, though, and see what the collection is like."

Despite her unfortunate disfiguring illness, Raven did seem like a nice, well-mannered girl, and one useful to know, so Lucille decided she could overlook the blue skin.

She wasn't going to ask how that was possible, at least not today.
