Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Picnic-ing in January - still not the best idea ever! But there were tables and chairs set up in the sun, and a nice bonfire going, and plenty of warm food for everyone to encourage socializing for as long as possible.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

It was an outdoor picnic in January, and April was wearing shorts.

Oh, don't look at her like she was crazy; at least she was perched kind of close to the fire, and she didn't look terribly cold.

She was munching on some pizza piled high with various forms of meat toppings while she eyed the new people (and the old people, for that matter), wondering who she could sneak-attack befriend before the day was up.

But what if someone were to sneak on her first? Maybe not to befriend, because Laura had no idea how to go about that, but instead interested in the pizza.

"Where did you get that?"

"Oh, hi!" April was going to give the befriending the old college try anyway, so there. "It was from--" she swiveled around to point-- "that table over there. I'll show you!"

She sprung to her feet, ready to walk over. "I'm April, by the way. Are you new?"

Bubbly. Laura tried not to grimace. Bubbly people weren't bad people. Just. Bubbly. April didn't even let her proclaim how easily she could get there herself, so Laura simply followed.

"I am new, yes. I am Laura Kinney."

"Well, welcome to school," April chirped. "Endless pizza is just one of the many perks of this lovely campus. We also get endless bagels sometimes."

So, so bubbly.

"Thank you." Laura had had endless pizza before, back in Utopia. It was mostly the same kind all the time though, as to get people to agree on a flavor was quite the task. She appreciated the variety. "It seems, convenient." And tasty.
