Hunting 101, Thursday

"Hey guys, welcome to our last class," Sam said. "You can thank my past teachers for showing me that a written final isn't always necessary for a class. Instead, I want you guys to stock up on supplies and make yourselves a hunter's pack." He motioned to the table, which contained a decent size pile of salt canisters, matches, lighter fluid, and some blunt force weapons. Dean would have been so proud. There were also some exorcism sheets (with pronunciation guides) and diagrams of devil's traps now that the students would know what to do with them. "Take whatever you think you could use. Fandom hasn't always had the types of problems we've learned about, but you never know... which leads me to the second part of your final--" He pointed to a piece of paper on the end of the table. "Sign it if you agree, don't sign it if you don't, but it'd make me sleep better at night if you signed it. Then you're free to go, and have a great rest of the week, and break."

Lottie was grabbing at least one of everything. Which made the bag inordinately heavy and wasn't actually a great idea, but she was having fun, at least.

The paper reads:

We, the undersigned, promise to help defend Fandom if/when we are attacked using whatever means suit us best (fighting, strategizing, researching, healing, hiding, etc.). We also promise to ultimately be careful, and look out for ourselves and others.

Underneath, was space for anyone to sign who wanted to.

Yeah, Kathy was snorting at that, even as she signed her name. Of course she was signing it!

"Signin pledges," Lottie said. "WELL American."

Then she signed it anyway.

. . . well, of course Cosette was signing this. It wasn't as if she didn't already do these things.

Kaylin carefully read - or attempted to read - the paper. She didn't understand all the words, but thought it was about helping people, and well, yeah. So she signed.

Frank signed, but his signature was sloppy enough that there was really no way of confirming it was his name.

Before or after class.

Two days left to the school week! Will anyone else get suspended over fistfights and/or doing drugs? Only time will tell!
