Hunting 101, Thursday
"Hey folks," Sam said, holding a big mug of eggnog. If the island was just going to give it away from the faucets, he wasn't going to say no. "To balance out our class from last week, today we're going to talk about angels."
"Now, I have to admit that unfortunately, I've had a lot more run-ins with demons than I've had with angels. But, that doesn't mean angels aren't worth discussing, because while we're all used to the fluffy, friendly kind of angel--especially this time of year--not all angels are kind and benevolent. Angels can be very protective, which is great for the people they're protecting, but not so great for anyone who wants to get near the person. Angels can also be vengeful - when a god is angry, they can send angels to do their dirty work, rather than dealing with the situation themselves."
"There are good angels, of course." At least, he was hoping there were. "There are lots of stories that suggest Cupid is an angel, who uses his angelic powers to force people to fall in love. That... sounded kind of bad the way I phrased it, but I meant it as a good thing. And while we're talking about love..." Sam trailed off, bringing the TV stand over. "I wanted to leave you guys with a positive impression of angels, so we're going to watch a movie today. Ultimately, it'll be up to you guys to decide if you think angels are good or bad, and if you ever run into any, just be polite and you'll be just fine." Hopefully, that was a little reassuring.
