Shop Class: [3/13]

As the student enter into the classroom they'll see that it looks like a normal shop room, except for what appears to be some strangely decorated tools

Mac is sitting on the edge of his desk with a small grin on his face. "Since you guys should all be refreshed from your week off of classes, today I thought I'd give you the biggest challenge ever. Today you will build... a spice rack. When using the tools Ms. Gilmore-Danes made for us, please make sure you take the hat off the hammer first. It's only there to keep it warm. Apparently."

"Present," John says gleefully, opening the bag. "Oooh, this would be perfect for Skeeter's class tomorrow. Think she'd let me arrest her?"

Xander glances doubtfully at him. "Well... she might let you try." Especially considering you'll never guess who gave me the idea for the present OMG. "I don't think you'd get as far as the handcuffs. Which I didn't buy anyway, because that would be kinda weird they looked kinda fakey, like they wouldn't really hold anybody."

He looks a little sheepishly at the now-empty bag. "I thought about buying something for Aeryn too, like a souvenir and welcome back present combined? But I don't know anything she likes except guns, which I didn't think they'd let me carry on the bus somehow, and you. And she's already got one of those."

"Trying is the best part," John says with a nod. "Because it's so fun to see her get all flustered. And, this way, I can use my British accent again."

"Yeah, she's got plenty of weapons," John agrees. "If you wanted to get her something, she seems to really like books. Books on animals, Earth history and the like."

"If you'd come with us to England, you could've honed your accent among the natives," Xander tells him. "Then again, since Ms. Skeeter was along, you'd probably have spent the whole trip as a smoked kipper or something."

"Skeeter went to England with you?" John grimaces. "She didn't like...attempt to be buddy buddy with the students, did she?"

"Not that I could tell." Xander shakes his head. "I barely saw her for most of the trip. But she did help us get some stuff for Angel, actually, that we probably couldn't've found if she hadn't got us in."

"She...helped?" John is positively boggled and thrown off guard by this revelation.

"I think she did it 'cause it was Zero asking," Xander says, shrugging. "She wasn't exactly 'Woohoo mission of mercy, let's save the day!' but she did get us through the door so we could go buy the stuff we needed."

"Well, that was oddly nice of her," John admits. "It almost makes me feel bad about impersonating her on the radio. Almost."

Xander snickers. "From what I hear she gave as good as she gets, there. I don't think she's crying in her warm beer over this little war you guys have going." He grins as he remembers. "I forgot to say - my friend Willow knows her, or knows about her, anyway. She's going to school in the same dimension Skeeter transferred here from. Callisto's got me trying to grill her for more info which will probably be forthcoming as soon as Someone decides just what sort of info Willow would be likely to have...."

John nods. "I admit that she's a skillful player but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve and I don't even use magic." John's eyes go wide at Xander's last bit of knowledge. "Your friend say if Skeeter's as famous as she says she is?"

"She hasn't answered that part yet. She wrote me back right after to squee about Angel being okay, but nothing on Skeeter. Last I got on that subject was 'ahahahahahahaSkeeterahahahaha.' I should poke her again."

"I'm guessing that subject didn't indicate Professor Skeeter's comedic skills either." John turns the hat over in his hands. "How was England for you, by the way? I don't think I've seen you since you came back."

"Not bad. The giant purple bus to go to England was probably a bit of a clue that it wouldn't be your normal spring break trip, though." Xander frowns. "I met some guy I ought to remember from high school but don't, who knows a future me that's all... grown up and professional or something. And I went shopping with overcaffeinated Rory. I'll leave it to you to figure out which was the freakier experience."
