School Auditorium: MSND Rehearsal (1-5 p.m. FST)

All members of the production got an email this morning telling them to report to the auditorium at 1 p.m. EST to rehearse acts I and II and the "extra" bits of the play. When they gather, they will find Dream sitting on the bare stage, looking rather impatient.

"You are here to rehearse the play. I believe you can manage that. If you are playing the Tooth Fairy,
Steve Austin, Jaime Sommers, Lobster, Drunken Pirate, Kickass Ninja or Chuck Norris, please report to the orchestra pit to discuss your roles with me. Otherwise, read through Acts I and II in their entirety."

That said, Dream moves to the orchestra pit and takes a seat. He may be waiting for the student directors to join him.

Alanna counted backwards from ten. "Can I encourage you to run off and marry who ever the hell you want instead? Will anyone really notice?"

"Since it'll kill half the story? Maybe?" Nadia shook her head. "I wouldn't complain, though."

"This is just great. Who do I want you to marry? And who do you want to run off with?" Alanna glanced around, possibly searching for the nearest exit.

Considering the difficulty Nadia had had figuring the play out, she was entirely sympathetic. "You want me to marry Logan. I want to marry Blair." Nadia frowned and blushed, quick to explain. "Or my character wants to marry his character. I don't really want to marry Blair."

Alanna was doing her best not to start randomly screaming, really. "Why am I playing my father?"

That? Threw Nadia for a bit of a loop. "Um, you're playing my father, actually. In the play." Then the lightbulb turned on. "You mean your father tried to tell you who to marry?"

And suddenly? Not having a father that she knew of didn't seem quite so bad.

"Sort of. He wanted me to go to a Convent, learn to be a proper lady, and get married to some random noble and have little proper children. I wanted to be a Knight. He died thinking I was still in the Convent." Alanna shrugged. "My twin and I switched."

"Wow." Nadia blinked. "That, um, sucks. At least you got to do what you wanted, though, right?"

"Aside from everyone thinking I'm a boy and um, the guy I was with sleeping with the Court slut? Yeah. Well, I will. I'm still a Squire, to said asshole, but will be going for my shield next MidWinter." Alanna flapped her script. "Drama is not part of a knight's training. Nor is singing."

"But drama's really useful. If you have to be sneaky. Maybe not singing, though." Nadia thought for a moment. "Do knights have to be sneaky? And wouldn't that be really hard when you're wearing armor?"

"Um, well, one of my friends is the King of Thieves, so yeah, I can be sneaky if the need be. He taught me such useful things as breaking and entering, lock picking, and how to play cards very well." Alanna nodded.

"Sounds like a useful person to know." Nadia grinned. "You should get in on the co-ed strip poker game I was discussing with some of the guys awhile back."

"Oh he is. Except for the whole not telling me that the guy I was with was sleeping with someone else." Alanna's face lit up. "Poker? People here actually play poker? Please, sign me up!"

"Well, we haven't actually planned it or organized it. . . . But I'll definitely let you know when we do."

"Please. I've been going through some serious card playing withdrawl."
