Creative Inspirations | Monday, period one
"Welcome." Hannibal nodded at the students. His hand was unbandaged this week, with only a band-aid over the stitches, and he was otherwise healed. "We have been mostly visiting inspiring physical sites lately, rather than other forms of art." When they weren't being hijacked to bingo, Jono. "This week, we're taking in a bit of auditory inspiration."
//You don't even want to know how many realities we had to scour before we found this place,// Jono noted, looking in far better spirits than he had been last week. //But apparently, look hard enough through the multiverse, and you can find just about anything. Including an amusement park that's primarily opera themed.//
Portalocity practically falling over themselves to assist once they found out it was for Hannibal's class had been helpful, there.
Hannibal's dire - if utterly calm and almost cheerful - explanations about the bingo mishap helped. Even if it hadn't been a mishap.
"We have several hours, thanks to time differences, but please remember to return in time."
//So, have fun. You've each got a bracelet for nonstop rides, and the food might be a little morbid-themed, but I'm told it's fantastic. For fair food.// Jono shrugged. Like he knew what the hell the difference even was? //There's a section of the park specifically for some of the more, er, adult themes of the opera, but your bracelets won't get you in there. Sorry, kids.//
Jono wasn't that sorry.
//So, without further ado... enjoy Così Island.//
The name was wordplay. So help him, Jono was in a bit of pain as he said it.
Hannibal loved it. This probably surprised exactly no-one.
The teachers waved them through the portal.

Listen to the lecture!
Re: Listen to the lecture!
But as someone coming from a hellish city rooted deeply in Italian Gothic architecture, Dante was looking like he'd really enjoy it if Hannibal stopped dipping into that particular well.
At least the rides wouldn't be boring. He was grateful for that. Also: not so much actual architecture.
Re: Listen to the lecture!
Ride the rides!
The flying dragon ride (https://i.ytimg.com/vi/AWVSEZkFERo/hqdefault.jpg) is themed on (and soundtracked by) the Das Ring der Nibelungen
The Himalaya (https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2551/3956121531_25a3eab280_b.jpg) ride is themed on (and blasts loudly) Peer Gynt
The fast rollercoaster is Aida
The loopy rollercoaster is Carmen
And the big tall one with all the hills (and a ride-ending drop into a red-lit, smokey tunnel) is Don Giovanni
There's also plenty of food - depending on the area you're in, it's either Italian, French, or German. Ish.
Re: Ride the rides!
'Course he picked the fastest possible rollercoaster to hit, and then began composing plans to get into the adult section.
Before getting distracted by the food.
Yeah, okay, this class wasn't so bad.
Create!
French is always an option.
Re: Create!
But he could stick a few tufts of smuggled cotton candy on a canvas and claim it was something something important whatever artsy shit.
Re: Create!
Re: Create!
He was using food now that other people had made. That was different.
Talk to the teachers!
Re: Talk to the teachers!
He wasn't eating the fair food, though.
Back in the classroom, he was working on an operatic composition, playing with different lines of melody.
Re: Talk to the teachers!
Which, er...
So, yeah, he'd probably have to be pried off of the Carmen or Aida before they could head back to class, where he was going to spend the rest of the period trying to write an alternative rock cover of the Don Giovanni Overture.
OOC!
