"Today we are going to work on--communicating without words." (There was another word for that, one he'd meant to use, but he'd lost it. Nomi, help him out here. "Nonverbal," she said without looking up from her computer.) "Nonverbal, yes! Nonverbal communication is very important. Maybe you can't hear someone, or you don't speak the same language. Or maybe you're on a stage, or a screen, and the audience is reading into everything you do to figure out what to think about what you say. So. Divide into pairs, and communicate without using your words. One of you has a problem. Something like, you've lost your phone, or you don't know how to get to your hotel. You need help. How do you get your partner to help you without words? You'd better figure it out, because I don't want to hear any more talking starting now."

Kathy raised an eyebrow in invitation and crooked her finger at her roommate.

April decided that her method to recruit a partner would be to just jump into the assignment and see who came over to join her.

She clutched her chest and dropped to her knees, contorting her face as if in pain.

Hanna walked over quickly, face furrowed in concern. She opened her mouth to ask a question, then stopped herself. She reached out a hand for April, not sure what she was supposed to do here.

April wondered if groaning was okay. Rather than risk it, she simply hammed up her physical performance. She reached one hand out for Hanna's, made a big show of missing it, and flopped dramatically backwards from a kneeling position to sprawled on her back.

She wasn't fake-dead, though; her outstretched hand was still extended outward in Hanna's direction, though Hanna would have to come closer to successfully pull April up.

Hanna grabbed her hand to tug her to her feet, trying to figure out how to pantomime, 'what is wrong?' She pointed to April's head, then her heart, then her stomach, trying to figure out where it was supposed to hurt.

April accepted Hanna's hand this time, almost stumbling to her feet, but then she fell back again, so if Hanna didn't support her whole weight, April was hitting the ground (sorry, Hanna; she was determined to play this as dramatically as possible, and she would understand if you let her fall).

Meanwhile, her free hand was clutching at her heart. See, it was a clue!

Hanna almost didn't manage it; April was slumping there for a bit, but Hanna was strong enough to support her once she got the idea. OKay, simple, heart attack. Heart attack?

Hanna toted her over to Lito's desk and put her down on it, then pulled out her phone, miming calling 9-1-1. She pointed to April's arm, then made a face of pain. Arm hurting too?
