Lorelai is grinning as the students enter for each class.

"You guys did well on your midterms," she says, "so today is a free day. You can study for another exam, work on another project, or play board games," she gestures to a stack of games on her desk. "Have a great spring break and I hope you're all ready to learn when we start up again."

Piper smiled gratefully at Boone, taking the cup. "You? Are a life saver."

He grinned, "I have those, too. Mind cherry?"

"Sure." Sugar and caffeine were just what Piper needed.

He pulled out a roll of cherry gummy lifesavers from his pocket, and handed her several. "You doing okay? In general, I mean."

"I'm okay," Piper replied. "Just didn't sleep well last night."

She took the lifesavers and smiled. "Thanks."

He only smiled, and quietly decided not to press the issue. "Anytime."
