After taking care of any returns, Face was hard at work researching for his future presentation for that conspiracy class. This mostly involved a lot of trawling the holonet.

Oh, hey, some particularly enterprising (and not particularly concerned how long a lifespan they had if the Empire found them) being was selling fabric based on post-Yavin Rebel propaganda. That could be useful.

A large black raven flew in through the window sometime into the afternoon.

It landed on the counter in front of Face, a folded-up piece of paper in its beak. It stared at Face expectantly.

Face stared back at the raven. "Are you a student?"

What? He'd been a bird barely two months ago.

The raven dropped the piece of paper down in front of him.

It cawed loudly.

Face went to pick up the paper, not taking his eyes off the raven in case this was some kind of trick.

The raven seemed bored with him as soon as he picked up the paper. It reached under its wing, nipping at one of its feathers. Then it stretched its wings and flew back out through the window.

I am not good with words, let alone the written word. Still I wished to send you a message, to thank you for your care and for indulging me.

I have now returned to the Seeker Fortress at Montsimmard, and am expected to take my Vigil tomorrow, to become a full Seeker. I intend to return to the island when I am finished, for the apostate Anders cannot be left to roam there alone. [smudge] But that is not important.

Face grinned broadly at the letter's contents, running his fingers over the words.

Because it wasn't like there was only one ridiculous person involved here.
