Today's Junk Food: Seafood of all kinds. Most of it's deep fried. There are also rumballs, because Ted figured he'd get fired if he brought real rum for the kids. For himself? Weeell...
"Afternoon dudes!" Ted greeted. "I'm not going to bore you with a lecture today, so I'll just say a few things. We're learning about songs of the sea. Pirates and sailors sing sea shanties and make up tunes to keep themselves busy on those long voyages. After all, what else would they do?" Ted looked quite innocent as he said this. Please don't tell him what pirates and sailors might do otherwise.
Project: "Anyway, this week's classes are for working on a project. Grab a partner or trio and come up with your own sea shanty. The tune doesn't matter. It just comes along on its own. The lyrics are the important part. You've got today and tomorrow to work on it. Have fun, dudes!"

Re: Project
She stared back at him as she talked, since it seemed like staring was the thing for the day. Ooh, pretty eyes.
Re: Project
"Shanties."
More giggling.
"Shanties are cool."
Re: Project
Re: Project
He then looked around the room to see if anyone was watching or listening and then leaned in closer to Angela.
"Why are we whispering?"
Re: Project
"So ... do you want to work together, seriously?"
Re: Project
"Seriously. Very much."
He stared at Angela for a little while longer before leaning in to whisper, "Do you like pine trees?"
Re: Project
Re: Project
Re: Project
"Here? Maybe it's the miniature gremlins."
Re: Project
He then seemed to get distracted by the pile of deep fried seafood that Professor Ted brought in.
"Man, I'm hungry. Is it dry in here?"
Marty's gaze finally comes back to Angela.
"I'm sorry what was the question?"
Re: Project
Yep. Stoned. Or else gremlin bites now made people act like potheads, in which case about half of Jordan's friends would probably be lining up to swill gremlin saliva if the word ever got out back in Three Rivers.
But it was kind of cute on him, so she smiled.
"Um, you asked if I liked pine trees, then I asked if you were stoned, then you asked if it was dry in here. Then you asked what the question was. I think that's everything"
Re: Project
"You're cute," he blurted out.
He then looked at Angela very carefully.
"Am I stoned?"
Re: Project
Re: Project
Then he burst into a short bout of laughter.
Then he he said "No," again in a calm manner. "You want some Calamari?"
Re: Project
Re: Project
Re: Project
Then at Marty.
Then at the brownies again.
Slowly, the hampster powering her brain started to put things together. "Maybe?" she said. "Did the guy with the long hair at Kwik Stop give you those?"
Re: Project
Re: Project
Then she glanced at Mr. Logan. He probably wouldn't care -- unless he wanted to know where he could score some -- but on the off chance he did, getting detention instead of going to London would suck.
She lowered her voice. "Put those away; don't eat any more, okay? I think they're sort of ... special. Magic. They might be why you're acting funny." She hopes to God he gets it.
And then, because she could, and because she'd never had pot in a brownie, and, apparently, she's an idiot: "But can I have one first?"
Re: Project
And because he's stoned out of his gourd he handed one over to Angela.
Re: Project
"Thank you," she said politely, trying not to giggle. "So ... the shanty."
Re: Project
Re: Project
"Pie would be good," she agreed. "We could write about a ship with pirates and ninjas sharing pie. And then they can feed it to dolphins." Sheepishly, she added, "I like dolphins."
Re: Project
Re: Project
She began trying to sketch out the shanty. "What rhymes with ninja?" she asked.
