Fun with Magic | Friday, First period

Class was back out on the lawn today. And again, there was a box, although this one was much smaller.

"Today," Bob decreed, "we're going to play a sort of reverse tag. Everybody gets one of these." In the box were a number of white crystals, each a few inches long with a string tied around the middle. "They have locator spells on them. They'll point a general direction toward what they're looking for. What they're looking for," he grinned, "is another one of the crystals.

"Whoever gets the target crystal gets a head start. Then the rest of you get to try to find them. Simple enough." Of course it wasn't that simple; this was Bob. "You'll want to be careful, though; every so often, the target will change. You'd hate to be running up on someone when suddenly they have to find you."

He smirked. "Have fun."

Well, it was no flying. And involved a bit less harmless hitting of people. But Lottie supposed magical tag crystals was pretty cool, too.

Lottie lifted her crystal and studied it thoughtfully.

"Righto! Which one of you lot'll be it first, then?"

It took Anders a while to get the hang of the game, but once he'd figured it out he loved it. Classes should have more running in them.
