Fun with Magic | Friday, First period
Class today was to meet in the Danger Shop; when they got there, they'd find themselves in a bright little gazebo on a sunny day, though there was an odd fog concealing the landscape
"Welcome!" Bob grinned. "We could probably have done this outside, but...well, the safety protocols seemed like a good idea." And then he'd gotten a bit creative.
"Today, you've got a different sort of equipment." Which Anders had probably noticed was suspiciously light as he carried the box from Portalocity. Bob waved at the box, inside of which were brightly coloured life-vests. "Everybody put one on, and then your task for the day is to race to the other gazebo exactly like this one on the far side of the room. Doctor Lecter kindlywas nagged into donated chocolates for you all to share once you arrive. Winner gets the best choices," he pointed out.
"Winner won't necessarily be the fastest, though" he said, grinning. "You've also got to find your way there." He gestured and the fog lifted, to show a hedge wall several stories high. "The hedges form a maze. You'll have to think to get through it. Oh," he added as if in afterthought, "and it's three-dimensional. So you'll want to work on your flying."
He smiled at them all. "Any questions?"

Re: Solve the maze!
Pleaaaase?
Re: Solve the maze!
The way she said this, one might think that it was something mysterious and impenetrable, rather than just "up" and "down".
Re: Solve the maze!
"Um." She thought hard about that. "It's really big?"
It SOUNDED like it should be really big! That had to be it!
Re: Solve the maze!
Re: Solve the maze!
"This is a pretty small space though," she said, looking at the maze. "I mean, it's big, but space is the biggest."
Re: Solve the maze!
"Course, we still gotta learn to navigate it."
Re: Solve the maze!
Which would defeat the purpose of the maze, yes.
Re: Solve the maze!
Re: Solve the maze!
Why else would they get to have so much fun?

And with Anders.
And... anyone else she felt like it at the time.
"Maybe the secrets would lead to it faster!"
Re: Solve the maze!
Dipper was clearly the only competition Lottie had in the class.
Re: Solve the maze!
"Why would Dipper beat us to it?" Alluka said, obediently ready to follow where Lottie lead. "Is he mean? Isn't he Mabel's brother? That should make him nice."
Re: Solve the maze!
Re: Solve the maze!
"Roommate rivalry thing?"
Re: Solve the maze!
Re: Solve the maze!
"My brothers and I aren't like that," she said. "I don't understand."
Her brothers were like that with each other, but Alluka didn't know that.

And she was still hoping a lot that her parents accepted that as an excuse.
