School Auditorium: MSND rehearsal (4-7 PM FHT)

There are snacks and assorted beverages on a table to the side, and the house lights are up.

The stage lighting is still a little beyond Rory, so the simple overhead fluorescents will have to do for the day.

And by the door, there's a sign-in sheet.

Actors? Your stage awaits.

"Is all our company here?"

"I'mma go with no on that one," Xander said, glancing over at the sign-in sheet. "But I could be wrong if they've already reassigned the parts."

"Or in Shakepeare land, you were best to call them generally, man by man,
according to the scrip."

"We're missing people already?" Pip asked.

Remembering he was actually on stage, he coughed and continued.
"Here is the scroll of every man's name, which is
thought fit, through all Athens, to play in our
interlude before the duke and the duchess, on his
wedding-day at night."

He still sounds incredibly French.

"Hi, um... Snout, here." Lana looks a bit nervous and awkward.

"You're the understudy?" Xander gives her a thumbs up. "Well, that covers one. And I don't see Harkness, but he could just be late."

Lana nods. "Understudy. Yes. Since no one knows when Anakin will be back."

"We missing anyone else, then? 'Cause, ya know, if we're not all here, we might as well just play spin the bottle or strip poker or something. Or just regular poker if everyone's going to be uptight about it."

Lana smiles despite herself. "Sounds like interesting alternatives. Not sure how well the directors would appreciate it, though."

"Okay, and one vote for no on Spin the Bottle from Nick Bottom, thank you," Xander says, grimacing.

"First, good Peter Quince, say what the play treats
on, then read the names of the actors, and so grow to a point."

"And so grow to a point?" he adds as he eye-scrolls down the rest of the scene. "Okay, Bottom has no sense of irony, because of the people in this scene who have trouble getting to the point? I win forever."

"Well, there is a reason you get the ass head later in the play," Pip said. "Plus I think there's probably a dirty joke in there."

" Marry, our play is, The most lamentable comedy, and
most cruel death of Pyramus and Thisby. "

"A very good piece of work, I assure you, and a merry. Now, good Peter Quince, call forth your actors by the scroll. Masters --"

Xander stopped and looked up from the script. "Ok, I totally skimmed past that when I was reading it to myself, because may I be the first to say OMGWTF? Spread yourselves?"
