School Auditorium: MSND rehearsal (4-7 PM FHT)

There are snacks and assorted beverages on a table to the side, and the house lights are up.

The stage lighting is still a little beyond Rory, so the simple overhead fluorescents will have to do for the day.

And by the door, there's a sign-in sheet.

Actors? Your stage awaits.

Callisto re-read her lines for this scene. She might have wanted to punch Helena in the head.

Parker grimaced. "Who's with me on an uprising?"

"If it means I don't have to use this spaniel line, I'm all for it."

"Especially to Echolls. Urgh. At least Xander's okay as an opposite number for me." Parker cocked her head. "Maybe the Kickass Ninja can jump in and accidentally deadinate him before that line?"

"Yeah, but then Helena, numbskull that she is would try and kill the Kickass Ninja," Callisto frowned. "Maybe Helena can realise her idiocy in the last scene and petition to join the fairies."

"She certainly deserves some kind of prize for the abuse she takes in this play," Parker agreed, then grinned. "How do you feel about being babysitter for the Gremlin Baby Jesus Changeling Child?"

"I thought you just said she already takes enough abuse?"

Parker snickered. "Yeah, and I'm hoping that by that point, the changeling Baby Monster is safe with Oberon. So yeah, you and the Kickass Ninja can form a coalition, and take out the dumber Oberon henchmen. I command it be so." She waved her hand regally and looked bored and detached.

"As you wish, my soon-to-be-Queen," Callisto sketched a half-bow.

"And I'm sure there will be a troll lurking backstage to help Helena run her lines," Parker added, glancing toward Angel in the audience. "I hear they're amusing if they don't turn to stone in daylight."

Callisto tried to look innocent. "No idea what you might mean by that Parker."

Parker snickered. "You realize we have *no* scenes together? If we stage an uprising, it'll have to be in the background. Mayhap someone moving flats can help us find a place for plotting."

Zero stood there fiddling with her hair. "So, who am I doing this scene with?"

"Ah, my hench...woman!" Lee says, arriving just a wee bit late.

Zero...it might be described as 'fawned'. It might also be described as 'totally gratuitous arm-pettage'. "My lord and master!"

"Sweet spirit, shall we do mischief together?" he asks.

"My lord, I believe we shall." She kind of poked him in the ribs. "So, you've got lines first."

"Ah, but it's with my queen at this point, right?" Lee says, pointing to the line "Ill met by moonlight."

"Right. Yes. We need our Titania. And that fairy I'm supposed to be working with."

Lee looks around for Parker, looking for all the world like he's not suffering serious soulpain within but is carefree and charming. Right.

"What! Haughty Oberon? Fairies, skip hence!" Parker's eyes might be glittering from the stage lights. Or psychosis. Tough call. "I have forsworn his bed and company!"

"Tarry, rash wanton: am not I thy lord?" he says, holding his hand up and looking furious.

"Then I must be thy lady." Oh, that wasn't a nice smile. "But I know when thou hast stolen away from fairy land." She took menacing step forward. " And in the shape of Corin sat all day, playing on pipes of corn and versing love
To amorous Phillida." Parker smoldered at him, and let all of her frustration come through on: "Why art thou here, Come from the farthest Steppe of India?
But that, forsooth, the bouncing Amazon," And oh yes, she was definitely thinking of Kara, " Your buskin'd mistress and your warrior love-- To Theseus must be wedded, and you come to give their bed joy and prosperity." Bitter, bitter, and yes, more bitter. Drink it down, Lee.

A cold fury mixed with certain desire fueled the response - "How canst thou thus for shame, Titania, glance at my credit with Hippolyta, knowing I know thy love to Theseus?" The handsome Jack Harkness glimmered into view in his mind's eye and he glowered at her. "Didst thou not lead him through the glimmering night from Perigenia, whom he ravished? And make him with fair AEgle break his faith, with Ariadne and Antiopa?"
