According to Time Magazine, "Perhaps nothing illustrates the new swinging London better than narrow, three-block-long Carnaby Street, which is crammed with a cluster of the 'gear' boutiques where the girls and boys buy each other clothing.."

Buckingham Palace

Or maybe skip the modern stuff and go straight to the Royals! The Palace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckingham_Palace) has been there pretty much forever so it may not be the coolest place. But it's still kind of the coolest place, right?

By the way, was the date mentioned? It was January 30, 1969, and music started to fill the air in Central London. That's right, it was The Beatles' final public concert (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beatles%27_rooftop_concert). Get back to where you once belonged.

Kathy wasn't a huge Beatles fan, but who would miss watching music history as it was made? She clambered up onto the rooftop, found a comfortable spot to perch, and listened to the concert.
