"How did you do that?" Pip asked. "Oh, I should probably mention that I'm expecting Bridge to show up soon. He's reading my aura to try and locate where this came from. Just as well you two are here, he can do the two of you as well."

Walter made a face. "I was a little hazy from Granny's medicine and forgot about the spaghetti... the stuff really mucks up my control."

He raised his eyebrows at Pip's phrasing and glanced over at Victor. "Just the aura, of course."

"What aura?" Nadia had a plate full of food. She wasn't about to try to go to sleep again after her night filled with bizarreness (Xander and John in full suits of armor? Where had that come from?), so figured eating something she didn't have to cook was the next best thing.

"Bridge. He's reading the aura of everyone who got powers to see if they can track down a common cause. I'm meeting him for lunch. More of us here just saves the guy extra trips to read all of ya."

"So 'auras' aren't the lights in the northern sky I keep reading about?"

"No, that's Aurora Borealis. Jean-Paul told me about it once. His sister is named after them, and they're both from Canada."

Nadia was glad Pippi had asked, since she hadn't known either. She'd heard about people reading other people, though. "Does that mean we might be able to get rid of them? Because helium isn't funny any more after you turn twelve."

That reminded him to warn Nadia as well. "Hey, did you see my signs?"

"Yes... I would like to get rid of mine as well." Pippi said blushing suddenly.

"Signs?"

"Yeah, at least you found a use for yours. If it weren't for the spaghetti, I wouldn't have been hurt on Monday, and probably a bunch of other people wouldn't have been hurt, either."

Bitter? Only when he thinks about it.

"Um... Yes, it was useful... To a point."

Her entire face and neck flush as red as her hair.

"While probably true, I'm still the only one who has to make sure he's mostly covered up lest he cover everything he touches in glitter. I'm not even sure I want to know what would happen if, say, I touched the floor or the ground outside."

"Your portal to the alternate dimension of glitter will get overloaded and the world will suddenly be a very glittery place." Walter said facetiously.

Although... who knew?

"Making the world a better place through glitter?" Pip said.

"It would certainly be a more glamorous world."

Pippi wants to change the subject.

"How are you feeling?"

"Better," Pip said. "Still pretty banged up, but better. Though the pain medication is kind of wooziness inducing. You?"

"... Still feeling light and floaty, but otherwise good."

"Yeah, about those posters." She pointed her fork at Victor. "Not a good idea. I know you don't have Moral, because he's still in my closet, but I tell you from experience. Not. A good. Idea."

"What?" Victor said innocently. "It's just an innocent screening! I mean, jsut how many people heard the radio broadcast and were like "Wow, I wish I had been there!" Well now they can!"

He took a bite of shreemp and waved his fork around. "Besides, by the time it's over, I don't think Bel is gonna be pissed about it."

Nadia rubbed her head. Yeah, she thought. But Veronica and Marty might lecture you to death. . . .

"He's trying to be good now. I don't think you want to give him a reason to want to not be good. And why wouldn't he be mad?"

Victor leaned in and grinned before speaking in a low voice. "Okay, keep this secret, but I came up with this great idea. I get everyone into the common room to watch the tape, right, and at the very end of it, when they least expect it, these containers I had Agatha build for me will spray the room with glitter, getting everybody!"

Nadia blinked. "You're either very smart or completely crazy. And I'm not going anywhere near that common room tonight."

"I know from experience that it is possible to be both brilliant and a complete nutter." He smirked at Victor. "I'll withhold judgment on which he is."
