Student Council [Friday, Lunchtime]

The lunch fare was a little lighter today than normal - sandwiches, a big salad for everyone to share, and a variety of drinks - and Zoe looked a little more concerned than normal too.

"Good afternoon. I'm glad you all could make it," she said, giving everyone a once-over as they took their seats. "Once again, we don't have much to discuss - prom is sort of vaguely on the horizon, but not so close that we need to start worrying about it too much. I was hoping more to check in with all of you and see how you're doing."

That would be your cue to reassure her that you were doing fine, kids.

Om nom nom food?

Even without the pizza and cookies, Emma was definitely omming and nomming.

Omming and nomming were, like, two of the sports that Minako excelled at! She was totally fine, Miss Zoe! You could tell by the way she was eating anything that would fit on her plate.

Oh, hey. Food. Sparkle had been kind of forgetting that food was something that existed, what with all of the time he'd been spending on the phone lately. He grabbed a sandwich and heaped his plate full of salad.

He kind of wound up picking at it, though, looking a bit distracted.

Any prom thoughts? Are you all okay?

"The squirrels seemed a bit worried today," Cecil noted. "I don't think about Prom."

"I'm fine," Alana volunteered. "A little freaked out about why all the plants seem sick, but fine."

"Hey, I'm doing great," Sparkle offered with a grin. And, so far as he was aware, it was true. He had better places to be than here, though, and one hand was on his phone in one pocket and the other was on the business card in the other. One of his legs was bouncing incessantly as he sat there, and he really couldn't wait to make a break for the door. "Working on getting plans for after grad all figured out. Not long now, and I'll be getting the hell out of this place."

And if the island was being weird? Screw it. The island did that. It wasn't like it had to involve him.

Ah, there's nothing like the joy of calling in "sick" and getting a snow day instead. :D
