How Not to Die, [Friday, 4th Period]

Cara's class was meeting in an actual classroom this week because it was still below freezing out and no amount of snow was worth dealing with that.

"I see you all survived the trip," she said. There was an implied 'good job' involved somewhere. "So, sex."

Nice segue there, Cara.

"By this point in time I'd hope you'd already be aware of the basics, at least two willing participants, some acts require more preparations than others, use whatever protection is available to you if you don't want to end up diseased or with child, at least try to be discreet about where you do it, and while it should be pleasurable for you, focusing only on that makes you an ass. The hows and whats are not the point of today's class though. Instead we'll be looking at sex as manipulation."

She paused before continuing. "By which I don't just mean actually lying with someone, though it's hardly uncommon for a person's physical and mental defences to be lowered afterwards. As you may have noticed recently, desire can be incredibly distracting, frustrated desire even more so, and the promise of pleasure can sometimes break a man as effectively as the threat of pain.

"As approaches to dealing with problems go, it's not my favourite method, but it remains one you should be aware of, if only because you might be the one being manipulated in at some point in the future. So today I want you to talk with each other and come up with scenarios you might use the suggestion of sex as a tool and how you might take advantage of those, as well how you might guard against those same tactics being used against you."

Jalian nodded as she listened. Males tended to let their libidos do their thinking; she was used to using it by now.
