How Not to Die, [Friday, 4th Period]
There were no words to describe just how happy Cara wasn't today. None.
Though her students might have gotten an inkling by the fact they were standing in the cold, currently unoccupied stables near the dorms, with a teacher whose expression suggested she'd be perfectly happy to take the lesson outside if anyone brought up the violent sneezing fits she was regularly having.
"Equipment upkeep is one of the many things that can be the difference living to fight another day and dying horribly, and I'm not just talking about weapons or armor." Though anyone who neglected those deserved the end result, in Cara's opinion. "Being unaware of the state of buildings, animals, and equipment you might need to rely on, and neglecting care for them, either personally or through someone who knows what their doing, is asking for one of the three to bite you in the ass.
"So today we're going to do two things," Cara told them. "First you're going to check the inside of the building for any repairs that might need to be done and clean the stalls out. Luckily for you, there's been a lack of livestock housed here lately, so you don't have to worry about actually mucking any of them out. After that's done we'll move to the tack room, where you'll sort and clean the tack, checking for any wear or damage."
"Doesn't that sound like fun?"

He had a fairly priceless look on his face, but at least the weirdness of this dragged his attention away from...other obsessions today.
The Tack Room - HNtD [06]
"There are marked storage areas for different kinds of tack," Cara said. "Complete with diagrams for anyone who doesn't know how it's supposed to be put away. As well as one for overly worn or damaged equipment. Clean each piece, check it for damage, then place it in the appropriate area. I'll be checking your work at the end of class."
