Sex Cultures

Grissom welcomes each member of the class as they enter. There are six sets of two desks set up in the Lab, and each has a piece of paper with one word written on it in the middle.

"What I'd like you to do is take a seat at a set of desks. You may choose a free set of desks, or sit down with someone else. They will then be your partner for the next class project."

"I want you to spend the class discussing what you know about the place mentioned on your desks with your new partner, and getting to know them if you haven't worked with them before. This project will count as your midterm as I am not giving you a 'sex exam', yo., and I will give you the details on Thursday."

[If you have decided OOC on a partner you want for whatever reason, and that person has agreed OOC, just put a wee note on your "sit down comment" to avoid confusion. So if Cally wants to work with Anders, she'd sit down and say OOC: OMG RESERVED FOR MY DARLING ANDERS or something. :) This project will last for a while, but it won't require anything other than in-class torture interaction, FYI.]

Bel took his seat. Space? Maybe he'd talk to those Caprican kids.

Cally sits down.

[OOC: OMG RESERVED FOR MY DARLING ANDERS]

Paige sits down at the desk, she doesn't know much about Europe really, and doesn't quite get what it has to do sex cultures, but figures it'll be interesting.

[[Just had to make such a bait-y OOC comment, didn't you. *g*]]

Anders sits down and promptly rearranges the desks so he's sitting next to Cally.

"Good call, coach. Not like we know any more about this place than any of the others, right?"

[OOC: OMG YOU KNOW YOU'RE ALL SHOCKED. EXCEPT NOT.]

Pip takes a seat across from Paige and waves kind of languidly.

He's still a little loopy from the pain meds. "Sorry 'bout missing the thing yesterday. Kind of got into some robot-related trobule."

Cally points over at the table with Bel and Allie. "Maybe the space one. Maybe. But yeah, this one's just as foreign as the rest."

Anders props his chin up on his hands and starts playing footsie with Cally under the desks. "Okay, you're the one taking US History. What do we know about this place other than that we're here, and apparently most of it isn't as weird as this town, and that the paper has weird corners?"

He thinks about that one for a second. "Or is it this whole planet that has corners on paper?"

"That's okay, I erm wasn't much in the mood for it myself yesterday, there's some stuff happening, so I don't think I'd have been able to concentrate. Are you okay though?"

She pauses for a moment "and yay, you're French, right? Helpful!"

Allie sat down with Bel.

"So do you know anything about space?"

Pip nodded. "Yep," I'm French. I figured I should play to my strengths."

[[Pip has a spint on his leg and a bandaged head and probably a number of small cuts and bruises if you want Paige to react to them at all.]]

"I think the whole planet has corners on their paper," Cally says, playing footsie back. "Erm, I only got up to, like, 1812 in history so far, which was apparently two-hundred-ish years ago. So, erm, nothing really recent knowledgey type stuff."

"Well luck me then," she said as she reached down for bag and noticed the splint.

"So what exactly happened? It, well it all looks kinda bad actually." she told with a frown.

((thanks))

"That's, like, more than I know," Anders says, absently doodling A+C all over the piece of paper that was their assignment. But his eyes widen and he bounces a little in his seat, suddenly animated. "Oh! Except that the US invented baseball and football, and Canada invented hockey. Yeah."

"I'm... not entirely sure. The computer in the Danger Shop went nuts, locked us in, and set a horde of robots on us. Sam and Kawalsky eventually managed to shut it off before we were overrun, but a lot of people got hurt. I think Nadia and Mac got off the worst."

Re: Group #2

[identity profile] the4thsister.livejournal.com 2006-02-28 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"whoa, this place just gets more and more disturbing doesn't it? I'm glad you're not too injuried though."

She sighs, "well I guess we should get on with this then, so erm I don't know much about Europe myself, but I'd guess they're more sophisticated than Americans, I'm not getting what this has to to with sex cultures unless that while 'manage a tout' thing is gonna come in somewhere?" she suggests

((I have no clue how to spell that suprising but I'm hoping you'll get her meaning))
