Modern Day Myths, Wednesday

Today, the students would find a laptop computer on their desks, open to Snopes.com

"Today, rather than discuss a particular story, I wanted to introduce you all to a valuable resource when researching modern-day myths," Thor said. "The internet, in particular the website titled 'Snopes'. Snopes has a team of individuals dedicated to separating the truth from lies when it comes to the rumours and stories that circulate through the internet," Thor actually had no idea if that was true, but it made more sense than one person doing all the work, so. "Today what I would like you all to do is click on the button for a random article, and then share its contents with your classmates and myself."

Cosette found an article about an anecdote about Nikola Tesla and Henry Ford, and started laughing about halfway through.

"I think this story has been around for quite a while," she said, "about someone charging a great deal of money simply for knowing how to fix a problem. I'm almost certain my uncle, who used to be a cartwright, claimed to have done the same thing on a few occasions."
