Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were chairs and tables set up all across the lawn; some were by the bonfire, for the people who wanted to be warm and central to everything else at the picnic, and some were set farther away from the action, for the people who wanted more peace and quiet.

There was no escaping the glitter though. Sorry, but not really.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Well, all right then. Kaylin took a moment to look him over. No burns or anything that she could see.

"Well... I suppose that could be useful in a battle," she admitted, trying to look composed and not like some ignorant fiefling with her mouth hanging open. "As long as you don't accidentally flame on in bed or around books or something."

Sorry, Johnny, but that went totally over Kaylin's head. Did you not see her flee from Sex Ed?

"Oh, well, that's good," Kaylin said. "It would be bad to wake up and find your bedclothes on fire and your room in flames."

"Of course not if you're always so hot," Kaylin said reasonably.

So innocent in so many ways. Give her another year or so with Teela and Tain and he might get a different reaction.

"I tend to be so tired I just fall into bed fully dressed."
