Fight Club [Gym, Monday Night]

Shortly after Tactics of War, Bridge goes to the gym and starts setting up for Fight Club. Once everyone's arrived, he starts talking.

"Okay, so apparently there was a... thing..." he waves a hand vaguely, "in the Shop classroom today. Um- so why don't those of you who were there share what happened? Looking back, is there any way you would have done things differently? How did different people's strengths- or weaknesses- play into things?"

"Actually, you know, there's an idea. What do you guys think of moving meetings to the Danger Shop? I mean, obviously we wouldn't let things get as out-of-control as they did today, but it'd be a good way of getting in some practice with different scenarios."

"After we talk for a bit, there's sparring, of course. Maybe try mixing things up and going two on one?" Bridge suggests. "Because in a real life situation, being outnumbered is entirely possible."

"And how's my favourite emodemon this fine evening?" Callisto, having not seen Angel since yesterday afternoon, had no idea about anything which may have happened last night.

"Doing all right," Bel said cautiously. "And yourself?"

"Oh, fine, fine," Callisto nodded. "But enough chit-chat, you come here to fight or what?"

"Sounds like a plan to me," Bel said. He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders. "How do you want to do this?"

"Well, since there are certain people who might get upset if we actually hurt each other, it'd probably be best to avoid a full on brawl," Calisto said. She settled into a ready stance. "Fun as they can be."

"I'd love to take you on no holds barred some day," Bel said, settling into his own stance. "You're right. It would be fun."

"Do something to piss me off bad enough," Callisto started circling towards Bel's left. "You just might."

"You mean I haven't yet?" Bel said in surprise, watching her warily. He feinted to her right, then aimed a punch at her head.

"Bel, there's a difference between presenting a possible danger and earning my hatred," Callisto ducked his blow, then aimed one of her own at his belly. "And really, you haven't managed to to nearly enough to qualify for the latter."

He almost didn't move back in time; he'd forgotten how fast she was. "Well, umm...good," he said.

"Now, one of your crack-brained ideas to desoul the vampire works," Callisto aimed a low sweeping kick at him. "Then you might get an idea of what my hate's like."

Either she hadn't heard or she didn't believe what Angel had told her. Either way, the thought distracted Bel enough that her kick connected with his legs and knocked him off his feet. He quickly rolled and scrambled back up. "Don't worry, not gonna try that anymore," he said, then spun and punched at her stomach.

Callisto didn't dodge quite fast enough and the punch glanced off her side. "Okay, who are you and what did you do to Bel?"

"I've seen the light?" he said, moving back and circling around her. "I had a long talk with your boyfriend and my girlfriend last night."

"Must have been an interesting converstion," Callisto tracked him as he moved looking for an opening. "If it managed to convince you to shed Angelus's leash."

Bel flinched. "Yeah," he said, looking down and giving Callisto a perfect opening.

Callisto wasn't really one to miss an opportunity, she aimed a kick at his belly. "Congratulations on becoming your own man."

Bel doubled over and staggered back, barely keeping on his feet. "Thanks," he grunted.

"You're welcome," Callisto said, keeping her distance.

He straightened, glad she hadn't kicked lower. Panting, he checked his watch. "Sorry to cut this short," he said, "but I have to get going in a minute."

[OOC: Get going to bed, that is. Night!]

"I'll see you around then, Bel," Callisto said.
