Defying Expectations - Tuesday, Period 3
When the class arrived they'd find a nervous Kaylin at the front of the class. "Karla wasn't feeling well today, so she asked me to run the class. Which was probably a huge mistake because seriously, no one wants me trying to teach them anything. Except maybe pickpocketing, which... I'm going to pretend I didn't just say - it's just 'cause I'm nervous. Anyway..."
She took a huge breath and let it out. "So... I didn't really know what to do, so I used the internetty thing and found some quotes people said about defying expectations and I thought maybe people could say which one kind of means something to them or share another one that means something to them and, well... yeah. So... here they are. And, um, I don't really know who these people are, but maybe you do."
And then she passed around sheets with some quotes on them.
1) It is only in sorrow bad weather masters us; in joy we face the storm and defy it.
