Today, students might find themselves meeting on the Causeway with a note posted where the portal usually went, directing them back to the classroom.

There were quite a few curse-words in that note, some of them especially creative. Not that Reno expected anybody to know who Ifrit was, or why his balls were on fire.

"Monster attack," he said, succinctly, once it looked like everyone had arrived. "Surprised it hasn't happened sooner, we get that sort of thing a lot in Edge. But I ain't bringing you guys out there while there are live weapons and fireballs flyin' back and forth, even if I know some of you can handle it. The projects are probably safe, and the WRO is on it, so the civilians are, too. This week, you got options. You can sit and watch this documentary about what happened when that dragon tore the Square apart, if you're interested. You can work on your sparring outside - just keep in sight of the window so I can keep an eye on you. Or you can use these and put together some emergency first-aid packages I'll have Tifa deliver to the locals."

He gestured to a table filled with assorted first-aid supplies. Including a few vials of this and that, obviously more of the funky potions from his own world.

"Next week, we'll be back at it. If not, I'll personally go there an' clear out all the friggin' monsters myself, yo."

Yeah, it probably doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense, unless you have more backstory about how the world works. But there's some actual footage of Bahamut SIN, in case you wanted any idea of just what Reno's world's version of a dragon was.

Big. The answer was big.

You could even put together first-aid packages with all the ~~moddable~~ supplies Reno's set out while watching. So, that's good. Or at least productive.

Karina was... mostly trying to focus on the first-aid packages.

But there was some incredulous staring going on at the documentary.

WTF. WTF was wrong with Reno's world?

Movie or first aid packages, movie or first aid packages ...

It was a difficult choice, but Anders managed to keep more of his focus on the first aid kits. Barely.

The movie was background noise to Cosette, who -- being extra worried about the people in Edge ever since all their hard work had been destroyed -- was entirely focused on the first-aid packages.

She did occasionally glance up, frown quizzically at the TV for a moment, and shake her head before going back to putting things together, though.

If you want to brush up on your monster fighting skills, there's a nice patch of lawn just outside the classroom window that was marked off for that. Reno would be checking in on any students out there, just to make certain nobody was causing real damage, here.

It was almost responsible, anyway? Almost.

After her five first aid packages were complete, Kathy escaped outside to spar. It was colder than she liked out there, so she spent a bit of time stretching to warm up.

Brrr.

Maybe she should go back inside to make more packages.

Who aren't allowed to go fight the monsters.

Karina didn't want to go and fight the monsters, thanks.

Not that she wasn't capable of it, if she had to, but that was a different story entirely.

...Kathy kinda wanted to go fight the monsters, it was true.

But instead, she was putting together five first aid packages before she would let herself go out and spar. Because that was responsible!

Who, after this class, probably is going to take off to fight the monsters.

You might be able to persuade him to let you ~~handwavily~~ tag along.

Tired + busy + brain-dead + con this week = movie class.

... Sort of movie class. Apparently I cannot even movie class right.
