Dream sits at his desk, hands folded.

"You may use this period as a review session for your midterm, which will be on Thursday. There are audio recordings of the Creature languages you have studied available for your individual use, as well as handouts on the languages and culture of each being."

Okay even with the packet that was still kinda confusing.

"You wanna switch to another language? Let's work on your Dragon some more."

"Better?"

Paige cringes, "well I kinda understood most of it, but all that rhyming!" yeah kinda ironic a witch who's not much good at rhyming isn't it?

//I'm better at informal dragon//she says in dragon

//Okay,// Victor replied, switching to informal Dragon. "Sorry, I get a little excited about Dragon. I'm a big fan of them.

he cleared his throat and repeated himself. //I'll be okay, but I'll let you know if something goes wrong.//

Paige smiles, "that's okay, I guess you're gonna pass it with flying colors then."

She nods, //I'm sure we will, you have powers?// she ask cos well you don't have to be a witch to figure out Victor's not human.

//Yes, defensive ones. Invisiblity, long tongue, agility, wall climbing. Usual lizard stuff. He should not be able to hit me.//

[ooc: As the mental image of Paige and Victor growling and squacking at each other in class reduces me to giggles.]

Paige wasn't sure if she was tranlating this right so figured she might as well as in human, "long tongue?" cos yeah that would the one she'd pick up on, she's Paige!

//You should be okay then// she replied, well at least the lizard stuff explained why he was so good at dragon. She was starting to think maybe she was a bit slow.

(( *hees* yeah it's a shame they don't get turned in the animals more, that had all sorts of potenial for crack, like Paige being hit on by Jiji for instantce!))

Victor extended his arm and shot out his tongue, wrapping it around and around the appendage until he felt like he made his point. Then, he retaracted it and grinned. "Long tongue. I can use it to grab stuff, even far away. Unfortunately," he said, reaching into his mouth and pulling out a small piece of lint, "It's a little sticky. Blech."

"Wow that's really quite impressive, I mean I'm telekeneticm which I guess has similar effects but, well that's just cool." she replies although she does look a little 'eww' as he pulls off the the lint.

And she is in no why thinking of less innocent uses for his tongue, not at all!

Heh. If only Paige knew about Friday nights...

But, she didn't, and there wa sno way Victor knew what she was thinking, so he just smiled. "You're a telekinetic? I have a friend back at my old school who's one of those. Are you a mutant, too?"

Paige smirked, luckily she wasn't easy offended anymore.

"No just a boring old witch I'm afraid. If that what you are then? A mutant?"

"A witch?" Victor said, confused. "Like, religion-wise, or a witch witch? Sorry, it's just hard to tell these days, especially around here. But yeah, I'm a mutant. A little different than a witch, but I think we're pretty similar." Then, he paused and reviewed what he had jsut said. "That was kinda contradicting, wasn't it?"

[ooc: Sorry, LJ issues.]

"Like a real witch with powers, hence the telekenesis," she explained

"A little," she agreed, "but I know what you mean, we both have powers, they're just used in different ways right?"

((that's okay as you can see I had to disappear briefly))

"Oooh, okay. I see what you mean, yeah. That's cool." And he meant it. He was always happy to be around other people with powers, it made him feel that much more at home.

Now that he felt rested, he picked up his Cat vocabluary sheet and his notes and set it in front of him. "Okay, now for the hard stuff..."

Paige smiled, "yeah I guess it's easier if you've actually been a cat, we had this guy come and give a talk about a cat god last semester you know. Reckoned he was descended from cats or something."

"Really? That must've been interesting. God thing you took it last year, or I'd be sunk."

He burped a little and rubbed his chest. "excuse me, sorry. So, the biggest thing i'm having trouble with are the movements. Cat is really weird, y'know? One word can mean so many other things depending on the body language."

Paige grinned, "yeah he was definitely interesting ~~and really quite hot~~ and I'm sure you're not that bad."

She nodded to the part about body language, "yeah that's where actually having been a cat helps a lot I mean you need to keep sort of bodily contact to a minimum, unless you're actually well, very friendly with the other cat lets say. And then of course there's all the stuff with the ears."

"Hey, you're a witch. That means that the sister you were talking about must be a witch too, if you're anything like mutants. Do you think one of you two could turn me into a cat for an hour or two to help me with the midterm? I mean, not during the midterm, 'cause that'd be cheating, but before. Maybe tomorrow?"

Well it's not actually personal gain is it? And yeah okay Paige isn't meant to cast spells without asking anymore after the whole forgetting who Geoff was incident, but she'd learnt a lot since then and if her sisters yelled at her the week Geoff was leaving, well that'd just be mean wouldn't it?

So you nods, "erm yeah I could probably do that, I reckon," she said, almost confidently "if I do promise not to go running off though okay? Cos I'd need to change you back."

Victor grimaced at the idea of staying as a cat for a while. "Yeah, I won't run off. No way am I gonna get stuck as anything but me. When can we do it?"

Paige wrinkles her nose in concentration, as she tries to remember her timetable, which really shouldn't be all that hard, but she has stuff on her mind so it really is.

"Well I have classes till about three about so after then suit you?" she asks

"You mean today, or tomorrow? Because I can totally do it after 5 or so either day. Anything that'll help me speak Cat better!"

"Oh tomorrow, yeah sorry, I'm probably not gonna much good with spells tonight, I need a little time to get refocused." she explains, well by explains I mean she gives the vaguest details evar!

[ooc: Sorry. LJ issues (again) + dinner = late Victor-mun.]

"No prob. I'll see you tomorrow at...five? Where do you want to meet?"

((not a problem I've been writes fanfics and trying to ignore a weeping headvoice!))

She nods, "sure five sounds great and would it be okay if we met in the dorms, I have trouble concentrating on important stuff where I'm living right now."

And then of course it hits her, she's gonna have to find somewhere else to live once Geoff leaves.
