Student Council [Friday, Lunchtime]

By now, the routine of the student council meetings was pretty much set - there was food (pizza, with a variety of toppings), drinks, pumpkin and non-pumpkin flavored things, and Zoe, looking a little tired but pleased to see everyone nonetheless.

"Even though we don't exactly run a normal school here, we do have some normal things that go on, and one of those is Homecoming," she said. "It's scheduled for next weekend, so there will be alumni all over the place and we'll have a dance on Saturday. We also typically have a carnival on Friday - a real one, not a creepy one." Thanks weird circus people! "Our primary goal today is to come up with a theme for the dance. Our decoration options are pretty unlimited as are, unfortunately, our glitter reserves. Just something to keep in mind."

Minako put up her hand. "What about Bunkasai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_festival_%28Japan%29)?" she asked, looking determined. NO. NO CARNIVAL. "I mean, it's a little early in the year for a cultural festival, but not by much. We just don't have much time to go full-out like we would at home..."

"I have no idea what that is," Sparkle noted, "like, by Japanese standards or whatever. But a festival could be... not... carnival-ish."

Festivals sometimes had carnivals, but they weren't quite the same thing on their own. They were celebrations, not tourist traps.

That helped. A bit.

"Would it have, like, a parade or something?"
