Tech-savvy students would be receiving an email (or, well, all students would be getting an email, but presumably only some of them knew to check for it), and anyone who showed up to class would find an elegantly handwritten note stuck to the door.
Deepest apologies, darlings, but I've come down with the absolute worst headcold of my adult life. And while I'm sure you'd all be delighted to see me anyway, I don't want any of you to catch it -- and I'm not fit for public consumption, as it is. Even looks as good as mine can't weather a runny nose and still look attractive.
Practice flirting this week, as that's what we'll start with next Tuesday. (Some of you don't need the incentive to practice, I know.)

I'm stupid-sick (like, finally went to urgent care this morning after trying to get rid of this myself for 10 days kind of stupid-sick), and had planned to write class when I got into work, only to find that the internet was out until about 4:30 EST. I will make it up to you guys next week. *slinks off with antibiotics omg*]
