Angel doodled as he watched, glad for a fairly easy class.

Vala looked around for the popcorn. Seeing none, she decided it was her sworn duty as TA to fetch some.

Soon she is settled in with a large bowl.

...what? No one ever said she had to feed the whole class! Get your own!

Isabel sat next to Vala and looked pathetically at the bowl of popcorn

Vala relented and slid it over on her lap.

And promptly spit out the next handful into her mouth.

"Who the hell makes chicken-flavored popcorn?!?!" she sputtered.

(yup, the whole bowl of popcorn tastes oddly like chicken! enjoy!)

Angel looked over. "Can I have some?"

Vala just looked at him like he was a freak and passed him the whole bowl.

"What?" Angel asked. He nibbled some of the popcorn. "It's neat. Like those potato chips."

"Must be some vampire thing," she muttered.

Isabel stopped with a handful of popcorn halfway to her mouth. "Chicken flavor? I'll pass. What ever happened to white cheddar? Or even the weird orange flavor stuff?"

"It wasn't chicken-flavored before," she frowned, picking out a new piece, tasting it, and spitting it back out. "I think I would have noticed."

She passed Angel the bowl (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/675198.html?thread=32114046#t32114046) and dusted her hands off with a puzzled look.'

Then she leaned over to Isabel and dropped her voice to a whisper. "It was fine until you touched it! Is this some weird alien thing or something?"

"It's weird. But it's not me," Isabel said, looking at the popcorn in her hand with distaste. "Although there's definitely some weird stuff happening around here in the last day or so."

"I know someone that's started seeiing only in black & white." For a moment she wondered if she should mention that it was Cam, but decided not to. "And Rory is losing limbs. Definitely something wacky happening. I'm lucky, so far I haven't managed to have anything weird happen to me. ~~I still need to run into Logan.~~"

Vala gave a Isabel a look. "I thought you weren't sure just what you could actually do? Do your kind of aliens really have a thing for chicken or something, because I'm not seeing any other cause for this. I haven't been in the cafeteria for a week. Hey...." She reached over and snatched the bowl back from Angel. "Try to fix it. Change it back."

Isabel's eyes got really, really wide and panicked looking. "I don't know what your talking about. I didn't do anything."

Vala rolled her eyes. "Just give it a try," she hissed. "Wave at it or think non-chickeny thoughts at it or whatever you do."

Non-chickeny thoughts? It couldn't hurt, and hopefully no one else would catch on. And if they did, she's blame the weirdness currently going around. Isabel held the bowl and concentrated on the popcorn for a minute. "Try, but I'm telling you, so far I haven't picked up any of these weird powers that are floating around."

Vala tested the popcorn, and made a face. "No luck. And are you sure this isn't your new weird power?"

"As far as I know, no. Everything tasted fine at breakfast." She shrugged, "Maybe it's yours. It certainly would be different."

Vala frowned. "Gods, I hope not."

Xander's eyes may have gone dry from the not blinking.

Parker found Xander more entertaining than the move, since girlkissy didn't do much for her. She also kept glancing from him to the screen, but realized pretty quickly that if her theory was right? They weren't going to be watching anything but Frida that afternoon.
