Student Council [Lunchtime]

"Good afternoon," Zoe said, greeting the Student Council members. "As some of you have heard, Mr. Lyman has been called back to the White House for an international emergency. Until he returns, I'll be handling these little meetings." She sat back in her chair with a bit of a smirk. "So, shall we get started?"

For things that are still being worked on.

There must be new and brilliant ideas rolling around in those heads somewhere.

Blair stood and cleared his throat.

"While I enjoyed the class trip to Washington D.C. there were students who couldn't come. We need to provide trips that include ALL of our students, whether they are differently-abled, have special abilities, or are unable to be in sunlight."

Angel gave Blair a grin.

Blair grinned back and sat back down.

"Blair has a point, organising trips that can only include a certain selection of students would seem to go against the school's ethos."

"I think the issue with the DC trip was that it was a last minute idea. So proper plans couldn't be made... So what's a good place to go in the evening?"

"Good question, I know there's some places to the north where it's still darker for longer..."

"That's cool... I remember hearing about that, and something about... Ah Roara Borillium? That would be cool to see I bet."

"The issue for vampires is having enough cover during the day," Angel said. "So places with underground transportation are good, as are places that have plenty of things to do inside for hours. That's why New York City's a good choice, but New Orleans isn't."

It's possible Angel had a note of eye-rolling in his tone for certain infamous vampires that claimed the Big Easy was a good place for the undead set.

"I'm told people spend a lot of time indoors in Las Vegas... But we want to go with someplace closer huh?"

"Probably," Angel agreed. "Which is a shame 'cause I love Vegas."

Belatedly remembering this was supposed to be a school-sponsored event, he added, "Uh, not that we'd want all these underage folks to gamble."

"Maybe an amusement park that's open in the evening?"

"That could work," Angel said. "Those are more fun at night anyway."

Blair bounced in his seat. "Dude, we so should go to one! They have tilt-a-whirls there! They are awesome!"

"Maybe we could get a traveling carnival to come here?"

Blair bit his lip and tried to appear mature and student council-ish but all he could think of was tilt-a-whirls and cotton candy.

"Given that the DC trip was such a success, would it be possible to arrange a trip up to the Aquarium and the Inner Harbor in Baltimore over Spring Break?"

"Before or after the trip to Europe? Or possibly as an alternative for people who can't, for whatever reason, go on the Europe trip?"

"I was thinking more as an alternative for the people that are staying on campus for break and not going to Europe. But I suppose if we held it later in the week, ~~on Thursday cause I have plot stuff on Friday~~ then anyone who went to Europe could go as well."

"No, I think it's a fine idea to have an alternative."

"There's also Williamsburg and Jamestown," Angel said, possibly a little family-focused as he thought of that. "Not great for anybody with a sun allergy, but they're still kinda neat."

Isn't that's what people really do at these meetings?

Blair sat and doodled in his notebook after speaking out about inclusive field trips.

Isabel looked around for Angel. She wanted to talk to him about Bel.

"Isabel, you're just the person I wanted to see."

Fortunately Isabel was still distracted enough by her conversation with Bel that she didn't immediately begin to flail. "Sure, what's up?"

"I just wanted to thank you for helping Angel get rid of the, uh, body art," Callisto said. "Otherwise I would have had to send him to Skeeter and, well, I didn't want to do that."

"What? Oh, that. Sure, no problem." She said, trying desperately not to blush. "Anytime..."

"Well, thanks anyway, I owe you one."

Go ahead and see if she's in a good enough mood to deal with you. It's a bit like Russian Roulette, except she's the one with the gun.

Whew, all done.

Everybody should check their invitations and add the community to their friends list.

Also, please read the most recent post ~~which I will post soon, I swear~~ and begin dumping info there.
