Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Were you a veteran Fandom resident? Did you finish getting your brain broken by your sibling and/or buddy? Did you just want to sit down to recover from the shuttle ride? If so, then there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn just waiting to be filled!

[This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Okay, be straight with me," Gwen said, mostly because she saw her plate. "Do they lull you in with a false sense of goodness with the food here, and then make you eat cafeteria food till you graduate?"

Kira laughed at that and shook her head. "The picnic food is definitely some of the best food, but what's in the cafeteria isn't so bad. And if you don't want cafeteria food, there's lots of other options," she said. "There's all kinds of different restaurants in town and there's good food stocked in the common rooms too, if you're familiar with microwaves."

She had to cover some of those kinds of bases, just in case.

"How do people even live if they're not familiar with microwaves?"

Gwen thought she was joking.

"I think most people pick up them up pretty quickly. Or they get someone else to microwave their stuff, but that's not so good in the long term," Kira said helpfully.

"Wait, you're not kidding," Gwen realized.

"Ooh, did your sibling not tell you about the different kinds of people here?" Kira asked. "Some people come from like, pre-microwave times, and some come from places that don't have the same technology as us." After a moment, she added, "But I know what a microwave is! I'm Kira, hi."

"Gwen. Is this like an alternate universe thing?" Since she knew about those now, thanks Johnny.

"Kind of? That's also like people being from the same place but not the same time, like they should know each other but they don't. This place is super weird, I hope that isn't something you're discovering right now," she said.

"Kinda feels like I've been building up to weirder things all day," Gwen admitted. "I'm going to be sending a loooot of weird texts later."

"Do you think your friends at home will believe you? Mine won't, which is why I haven't told them anything about this place except the boys are ridiculously attractive." It wasn't a lie or anything!

"I think there are people who would believe all of it." Because Peter's life was insane and now everyone close to him knew it. It was just that Gwen's life was apparently insane now too.

More than usual.

"I should probably leave out the part about the boys, though."
