Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Were you a veteran Fandom resident? Did you finish getting your brain broken by your sibling and/or buddy? Did you just want to sit down to recover from the shuttle ride? If so, then there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn just waiting to be filled!

[This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Gwen could so deal with creepy lurking right now.

"Is this an area open for others standing around and not talking to anybody or do you have dibs?" she asked.

"By all means, this is a free for all of introversion," he said, gesturing to the general area. "I'm surprised it's not roped off with a sign saying so."

"If they did that, people would probably flock to it," Gwen said, coming over to take the assumed lurker's position at a safe distance.

"...true," he said with a nod. "This island does attract the broody loner type."

He was not one of them. It was just hard to pull off with that curly hair and lankiness.

"Really? I like that way more than everyone being all friendly."

Despite her going up to everyone and starting conversations and adopting friends off the shuttle.

"We've got a decent mix. So it's not too dark and broody but it's not some weird 50's sitcom island either," he said with a shrug. "I'm Isaac, by the way. I'm neither broody or cheesy."

"Gwen. Not cheesy, occasionally broody," she said honestly. "What're you doing in the anti-social area then?"

"I'm shy." He was not. He was more...hesitant.

"Sounds like you already know how things go here, though," Gwen said. "And probably the people."

"I've been here a year," he said like that explained everything. "And I know of the people more than I actually know them. There's this stalker radio thing that's run by squirrels."

"I've heard about that. Weirdest ever," she said, shaking her head. "Can you set traps or something? Set up some walnuts in the hall so they don't come in?"

"I've heard they like booze," Isaac said. "Never really tried it myself. I feel kind of guilty giving a rodent alcohol."

"I think I like the walnut thing better," Gwen said. "Didn't know squirrels were equipped to handle alcohol."
