"Nature walk," Reno announced, just as soon as his students filed into the Danger Shop. Today's scenario? A nice, wooded path. Possibly even Fandom's own Preserve, though access to town was well and truly out of the way. "Because you're not gonna be inside near ready-made sharp pointy things or explosives every time something attacks. Some days, you'll be right out in the middle of friggin' nowhere, rookies, and you'll have to make do with a stick or a pointy rock, or whatever bit of litter some asshole decided to leave sitting in the middle of the woods."

As if on cue, a few little gnomes came crawling out of the undergrowth, peering up curiously at the passers-by. They didn't seem like much at first - just tiny men with beards and overalls and pointy caps on their heads. But it became apparent before long that there were more than just a few. One gnome looked thoughtfully at the group of students, pointed at the lot of them, and then started shouting.

"Queeeeens!"

It did not take long before the rest of the little gnomes were all pointing and chanting the same.

And then... well, then, they started to swarm, reaching for arms and legs and shoelaces and anything they could possibly get a hold of, in order to rudely and roughly drag everybody they could find back into the forest. Probably so that they could marry them.

Might want to do something about that.

Such as it is. Hey, look. A nature walk. Nothing can possibly go wrong, here.

There are hundreds of them, and they're swarming now. You might want to do something about that. Careful, the kind of dim looking one is a biter.

This would be punting and squishing time, as well as whacking with a stick time. Was it wrong that Kaylin was rather enjoying this?

Look, Minako was TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY DONE DEALING WITH GNOMES. She punted the first few, drop-kicked a few more, and used a stick as a croquet mallet for the next wave. Once she got clear, she was up the nearest pinetree in a flash, and throwing pinecones down at the little mob on the ground.

Who probably weren't prepared for this.

Kaylin was actually having a great deal of fun with this activity!

Who actually thinks this is hilarious, okay.

I was very close to having them all combine to form into one gargantuan super gnome. Instead, you get Jeff, Carson, Steve, Jason, and Shmebulock. (Second link leads to an animated gif, for the motion-sensitive.)

Look, Gravity Falls is back and season two is even more epic than the first one so far and I'm just REALLY EXCITED about that, okay?

Um, mod your gnomes. Or ping down here if you want some NPCs, with the caveat that there'll be slowplay while I'm at work during the day. As always, the Danger Shop has its safety protocols turned on, so the gnomes can't really hurt anyone, but they will be able to drag you into the trees, where they'll force you to marry them if you stay still long enough to get a ring on your finger. Yes, even you boys are fair game to be a gnome queen today. You're welcome.

It's probably not legally binding, at least.
