Bond's email today had told his students to meet him down at the grassed area outside the school, and to wear clothes they didn't mind messing up. When they arrived, they would have found numerous kiddie pools filled with balloons waiting for them at various spots around the lawn.

"Good afternoon," Bond said. "Water balloons are, like the name implies, balloons filled with water which are primarily used for soaking ones opponents in a water fight. Any kind of latex balloon can be used for this, however balloons specifically designed fort his purpose tend to be smaller for ease of throwing when filled."

"A water balloon fight can be an excellent way to improve your hand-eye coordination, as well as your dodging skills. ...Jalian might be taking the whole thing way too seriously. Okay, she knew it was just a game, but it was preparation for making war!

She had excellent aim, even if the balloons weren't exactly the type of projectile she was used to.

Ahahahahaha! Can the students soak Bond? Can they? :D

If they feel like being on the wrong end of a super soaker they can. :)

Sneaking was sort of out of the question in their surroundings, but she could (and did) throw balloons at other people while "casually" working her way into the radius she could throw one of them.

When she was just close enough, she let fly with one at the teacher, quickly dodging.

Rather than try to dodge, Bond let the balloon splash on him unconcernedly, instead tracking Jalian with his super soaker and squeezing the trigger.

"Do remember your enemy might be better armed than you," he said cheerfully.

"I saw your gun," Jalian answered, pausing to wring out her hair. "I didn't know what it did." Given the general lack of lethality here, she had been fairly certain it wasn't deadly. "But we're equally wet!" she pointed out.
