Advanced Film Criticism, Monday, Period 1

"If you think I'm going to even pretend to do any work on a day where we celebrate those brave men and women who gave their lives for my right to not do any work today, you're a crazy person," James said, kicking off class in just the right way. "All I'm doing is honoring them, the only way I know how."

And then he started today's board-game based war movie.

Flick really wasn't paying attention to the movie today. Sure, he looked up when something loud happened but he really wasn't registered the plot.

Probably because there was none.

For a movie with just about the stupidest, cheesiest concept in the history of ever, it was surprisingly not-bad.

And, shut up, the montage where they got the Missouri up and running again was actually kind of moving.

But there was nothing -- nothing -- that could possibly redeem the movie after the scene where they actually called out grid coordinates with a "hit" or "miss", like in the board game. Joker burst out laughing at that.

(OOC: I have actually seen the movie. This is my honest opinion.)
